I make a lot of bread. This product will sorta get the slicing job done; however, the guides are very thin & lack rigidity which causes me to have to be super careful or the guides flex and the slices cut unevenly and lack uniformity, so in my mind it defeats the purpose of having it t all. It is also very flimsy (think cheaply made). On the plus side, it is better than nothing, but I would not buy it again, nor would I recommend it except for the casual user.

This bread slicer works well. It's inexpensive, so if it breaks it won't be a big loss. I am not sure how durable it will be in the long run - the plastic dividers in the slicer tend to bend a lot when you are slicing. The slicer's lightweight is a blessing and curse. The slicer needs a firm grip when slicer or it will move around. On the other hand, it's easy to handle and folds up compactly for easy storage in the cabinet or pantry. If the dividers didn't bend so much, I would have assigned a five star rating given what the product is and what it cost.

Very flimsy! The guides bend a lot, and with great ease, so it is very difficult to get straight, even slices. It may be better to slice bread without this.

Or gourmet high end kitchen equipment. Does it hold bread? Yes. Can you then slice said bread? Yes. Its made out of plastic, so treat it accordingly.

There are no pads underneath to prevent the guide from sliding when you're slicing bread. It's necessary to either use a towel or silicone mat under the device which adds to the cleanup. The slices were uniform but only a bit more even than when slicing free form

The slots need to be just a little sturdier. If your knife is not razor sharp, they will flex and give you uneven slices of bread.

I love the French bread made in Walmart, however, they don't slice the bread. This bread slicer is very helpful, the size is adjustable so that I could make different size of the tuna sandwich according the need. It is very easy to use and clean. Happy to have it.

I cut bread really well, but I can't say the same for other members of my household. I bought this, and now the bread looks like it came from a machine bread slicer, when they cut it. Really hated to always have to slice a piece off just to even it up, to cut what I wanted to use. If you have the same problem, you can't beat these and the price is definitely low enough.
