Reliable Bluetooth connection, mediocre (but not broken) objective measurements
Pairing is reliable and quick in all modes, and in a practical sense the device works well as both a receiver and as a transmitter - I believe it's the only device currently on the market that supports LDAC output from an analog source (e.g., to make your turntable wireless, which is my use case). Its audio performance is, in short, okay enough, but not great. Its analog converters are definitely consumer grade - which is to say, good enough for most uses, but not technically capable of full CD quality resolution (~93-96dB SINAD) even in LDAC mode, which fundamentally should be able to do it. That said, for even high quality turntable playback, it's still more than enough - I couldn't tell any subjective difference between this and an physical interconnect running into my high quality, fully calibrated and characterized audio system.Details: I did some quick measurements of its ADC->transmit side with my MOTU Ultralite mk5 feeding its analog input, with a FiiO BTA30 Pro as the receiver returning the digital signal back to the Ultralite. The input buffer appears to saturate at approximately 875mV rms, far short of the standard 2V rms output of most consumer equipment. in LDAC mode, I got my best measurement of 82dB SINAD, set by the 2nd harmonic, with a generator voltage of ~800mV rms. AptX HD mode degraded SINAD to ~72dB, while AptX LL registered ~60dB. In LDAC mode, it appears to transmit at 24 bit resolution, 96khz sampling rate; the other modes work at 16/48. In all modes, there appears to be some clock instability and resultant jitter, but not enough to cause audible effects - this might have been an instrumentation issue, though.

Audio quality is very poor or broken - review by competent User running pro audio analyzer gear
I bought two of these with the intent of setting up some remote HiFi speakers. I wanted to use one as the transmitter, and the 2nd as the remote receiver connected via SPDIF to a second audio system. Before installing them, I ran a few simple tests at my desk: Set them both for LDAC mode, one as RX and the other as TX. Fed in test signals via SPDIF into the TX, then ran the RX SPDIF out into my audio analyzer. Right off the start with a standard 1Khz signal input, you could see on the scope that there was some sort of amplitude modulation occurring at a low period. As the test signal frequency got higher (say above 10Khz), the waveforms would start to modulate significantly. As the frequency increased to say 16Khz or 20khz, significant modulation, distortion and instability would occur. I know this is not an LDAC thing because I have another LDAC TX/RX system made by another vendor that works flawlessly with the same exact test. I ran the tests using APT-X-HD and APT-X-LL and had similar results. These 1mii units have some serious flaws in the firmware. And best I can tell, there is no way to perform any firmware updates. USB is power only. So, waste of money as far as I'm concerned.

Works well
I needed to add bluetooth to my older stereo receiver I use in my bedroom and this works well to play music from my phone. Sound quality seems quite good and I never have any connection issues.

Hearing help for TV
Very little instructions and if you want the by pass to work so that others can hear the TV, only one device can be connected . Very finicky to set up. Bose Quite earphones would not work. Beats and JBL do work, but as I stated, it's really a hassle to make the initial Bluetooth connection. Once that one connection is finally paired, it will keep that one pair of headphones or earbuds in its memory. There is definitely a lag in the voices between the TV and your headset. Best bet is to have a noise cancelling bluetooth connection....otherwise it will drive you nuts.

A must for my Apple Tablet
The dinky size of this unit makes it easy to hide anywhere. Completely interfaced my apple tablet perfect. Now I can run my Sirius/Amazon/and any other music function through my stereo with no issues and great sound. This unit is a good buy. Enjoy the tunes!

LDAC not good
I have connected Aptx, Aptx-HD, LDAC and SBC. LDAC is the only codec that transmits static. It isn't terrible but it is strange it is the only codec that is not silent when nothing is playing. I have the same 3.5mm input for all, so it seem to be the LDAC processor. The much bigger problem is the lag. I try to play a game with LDAC and after I stop firing my rifle I hear 2-3 shots being fired and I am not using an automatic. Seems like lag is push up to the 500-1000ms range. I got some Jabra 5 Elite earbuds and they work fine in Aptx. Latency is minimal. I also have Anker Q35 headphones and I have to run them in SBC mode to use them. I did not expect this to be the case. I give it 1 star since it is a LDAC transmitter that can't do LDAC any better than the lowest codec that exists. I wish I had never heard of LDAC, SBC, etc it has been a confusing experience to say the least. Hopefully Amazon doesn't ban me for all the returns.UPDATE: So I changed some cables and replaced some hardware and I eliminated almost all of the noise in LDAC. I was set to keep this unit, until... I was laying in bed trying to sleep and I kept hearing this intermittent high pitched noise. This unit is putting out a very annoying coil whine. Maybe it will go away with time, but I can't afford to take that risk. I have to send this back. I am using SBC and Aptx anyway because of latency. Bumping it up to two stars sense playback is sounding pretty good.
