Simple solution to a really difficult water problem!
I use these pop-ups at the end of my 10 and 15 foot non-perforated underground drains that capture mega amount of water from my pitched roof. The pop up goes at the edge of my garden (previously a swamp) and pitches water across my sidewalk into my lawn. The regular 360 pop up pushes water onto the sidewalk AND back into the garden.NOTE: I did not use pipe glue to attach, instead I recommend 2 or 3 screws to attach to the pipe. That way they are easy to clean out and replace if necessary. Donāt expect these to stay on if you donāt secure them in place! While I think this was expensive for what itās made of, I canāt find this type of remitter anywhere else, so itās a sellers market. That being said, Iād gladly buy this again at this price

Don't mow over it!
Lasted less than a week. This is a great idea, but the lid needs to be weighted. The first time I mowed, my mower sucked the lid open and chopped it up. The product is green, so it's obviously intended for grassy areas. It was installed lower than the surrounding soil (at least 2-1/2 inches below the blades). It probably wouldn't be hard to install a weight myself, if I feel like risking another $11.00 to replace the one I bought.

Easy install and sturdy
Edit 9/28/22: 2 of the drain covers broke after mowing over them - still with mower set at 3". I have learned these MUST be removed before mowing otherwise the lids can pop up and get sucked up and split apart by the mower blade. .... end EditI replaced the drain covers installed by a contractor I hired to install downspout extensions and force water away from house. He used a cheap type that kept getting clogged because it has crossbars on the inside that trapped small twigs and large leaves. These are EXCELLENT quality - nice sturdy material and easily removed if you need to replace them.I have 4 and had to replace 1 because my mower (on low setting of 2") DID suck the top up and chop it off. Since I typically mow at 3" or over, this won't be an issue for me, but others might want to be aware. (Of course, just removing the cover and reinserting after mowing would solve the problem)I do not understand why a professional installer would use anything else!

Works well so far
So far, so good. I bought two of these as a test and have been through a couple of heavy rains and they worked as expected with no clogs. I have many pine trees and the needles always end up in the drains and always clogged the other pop-up ones I had. These seem to let the needles and other debris pass through. My only complaint, sort of, is that a little debris got into the hinge area and kept it from closing tightly. Not a big deal, it probably would have corrected itself with the next rain to wash it out, unless it happens constantly or gets worse. One thing I very much like is I can mow over them (when its not raining) without them opening up and getting chopped off by the mower blades. The old pop-up ones I had were a problem with that. I will be buying more of these for the rest of my drains.

Good design but outlet is small
These are much better then the typical NDS emitters which clog with debris almost immediately. The downside of this product is the fact that the outlet size is limited due to the āuniversalā design, and the fact that the ātrap doorā only opens to less than 45 degrees. With a few tweaks these could be a 5/5 product, but I do understand the desire to limit the amount of models produced.
