MAR Y SOLWomen's Paros Tote Bag

I wanted a summer bag for everyday use. This bag was disappointing. The bag itself was a nice weave but the handles were horrible. They are thin with no padding which makes it uncomfortable to hold. I couldn't place it on my shoulder because the handles actually hurt. I returned it.

But if you’re on a budget, Amazon has some affordable dupes with great reviews.As for me, I prefer to follow the trend but with my own twist. I bought some cognac brown leather cream on Amazon to freshen up my old Gucci sandals.Instead of Loewe, I bought the Mar Y Sol Paros tote because I loved the Chloe-like scalloped trim and I wanted a strap high enough to put over my shoulder.To use as a summer purse, I looked into a purse insert or a linen sack on Amazon so my keys don’t puncture the weave or my things don’t fall out of the weave openings.I love Mar Y Sol products but a word to the wise is 100% raffia products are delicate. You have to be gentle with them if you want them to last. I store mine until I pull them out in the summer.Also, if you’re going to throw anything in a raffia or straw product that doesn’t have soft edges, look into purse inserts or linen sacks. Also, avoid anything heavy as it stretches the weave and makes it vulnerable to breakage.Happy summer! ;)
