We are not elderly, but my husband has night terrors and jumps all around in his sleep. He has landed on the floor several times, hard. I figured I better protect his knees in case he falls the wrong way. This pad was perfect! It's thick and cushiony. It's beveled on the ends so you don't trip over it, but it's off to the other side of the bed and is not in a traffic area, so i couldn't speak to the issue of elders possibly tripping over it. He has fallen many times since, and he loved the soft landings. LOL. No problems with it curling on the edges or anything else negative.

The matt is an absolutely beautiful matt. Very well designed, non-slip, sturdy and does not lift when you walk or stand on it. I like the matt so much I wish there was a wider one, I would order another one. An excellent security matt to have in case of an elderly parent falling in or out of bed. I would recommend working with this seller and buying this matt. It's a must have for any home, especially for the elderly.

We purchased the fall safety mat seven months ago, and it has held up well. It's easy to relocate and has protected our loved one from falls. The thin top layer is peeling a bit, but it's still useful.

I purchased the mat to be used by my sister-in-law in a nursing home, as she had fallen out of bed 3--4 times previously.The mat was exactly as large as needed, and should furnish excellent fall protection. It appears the mat will furnish a soft but firm landing spot should she fall in the future. The backing on the mat provides a good, non-slip surface, and the beveled edges should provide a non-tripping hazard for the mat. The top surface allowed the marking of her name on the mat with a black permanent marker.I am very pleased with this mat, and would recommend it for other persons!

While this mat stays in place on the floor, the surface that is actually walked on is NOT anti slip. With socks on a person can still slip on this. I had to put a textured yoga mat on top of it for full anti slipAlso feel it is greatly over prices
