I am 67 with combination skin that is mostly dry but with a little oil in the t-zone. Until Ilia, I had never tried a clean beauty foundation that I thought was as effective as my regular brands. Now, I have 3 Ilia serum foundations - this more traditional medium coverage no spf version as well as 2 light coverage ones with spf and I absolutely love all three of them. I use this medium coverage foundation whenever I want a more polished, flawless look. It gives a natural, skin-like luminous finish and looks fresh all day. Since I switched to Ilia foundations my generally good skin (for my age) has improved noticeably. The skincare ingredients that are infused into the foundations are the real deal and simplify one’s life. I could absolutely have used this True Skin one when I was younger and had oilier skin, the serum-style foundations tend to be oilier and I’m not sure about them. I will say that using the Ilia serum foundations has improved my slight rosacea and eliminated all of my dry spots; my forehead was always dry no matter what I did and that problem is gone. Bottom line: If you are looking for a clean foundation with excellent performance and medium but very natural luminous coverage, I highly recommend this product.

Lightweight feeling with good coverage. Looks natural and doesn’t show pores! No smell and smooths over my moisturizer well. I ordered this by accident and love it!

i have oily, acne prone skin, acne red and dark scars , and i really love this foundation as a natural look it's so perfect medium coverage and gives you fresh and healthy look without making your skin oily and you can blend it with any thing it's so easy to blend and gives you smooth texture, the only thing that i don't like it is that my skin absorb it quickly so the coverage is for several hours then it's gone 💔,i think that i might buy it again coz it's good for every day look and the price is actually expensive.بشرتي دهنية ومعرضة للحبوب وعندي اثار حبوب حمراء وغامقه ،اعجبني هذا الفاونديشن جداً!! التغطيه متوسطه وملمسه ممتاز عالبشره يخليه (قطعه وحده) و مايدهن البشره ودمجه اسهل شي بالعالم حتى باليد اقدر ادمجه ممتاز جداً للدوام والميكب اليومي بالنسبه لي افضل فاونديشن لكن مشكلته الوحيده انه مايعتبر ثابت تماماً يعني اذا حطيته الصبح الساعه ١٠ الساعه ٥ الليل يصير اخفتى لكن مناسب لي،طبعاً المنتج نظيف خالي من الواد المضره للبشره والجوده ممتازه جداً لكن لو يكون ارخص من كذا بيكون افضل

I really like this company and all of their products that I have used so far aside from this one. It is moisturizing and lightweight yet it doesn’t spread very well and it seems to block my pores making me sweat on my face. I like the idea but this is not one for me.

I've spent hours upon hours researching non-toxic makeup. Finally decided to give this one a shot and I'm so glad I did because I love it. Goes on smooth and has good coverage. I also purchased their concealer and I love that just as much.

Coverage: Unlike other hydrating foundations, this one dries down to a satin finish fairly quickly (I’d say 5-10 minutes). I actually loved that finish more than I thought I would because I’m a dewy girl typically. I got light coverage by dabbing the foundation on face and blending out. I got medium coverage when I dipped my kabuki into foundation and applied to my face. I haven’t tried building layers since I’m not a layer girl and light/medium coverage is my preference.Wear: I didn’t notice any creasing, but I did use their serum primer which should help with that. Honestly with light/med coverage, I find it difficult to see when makeup starts wearing off. I will say that I can normally see my nose pores after a full day of work, but they were still covered with this Ilia foundation, so that’s a good sign. Since I have dry skin, I don’t set my makeup with powder so my wear time is reduced. Side note, I’ve heard good things about the Ilia powder so I’m going to give it a shot. Fingers crossed that it’s another win.Hydration: More than anything else, I love how this foundation does not dry out my skin. It’s been years since I’ve used a foundation that didn’t leave me with dry spots on my nose and around my mouth within 2-3 hours. With Ilia, I have no issues with flakes. It’s an absolute game changer for me! One time, I actually forgot to apply moisturizer to my nose because I was rushing. Even then, I had just a few, tiny dry skin flakes on my nose AND it’s the middle of a winter. I was so impressed!Color: I recommend looking at the Ilia site for guidance on which foundation color is for you. I’ve heard some complaints that the color is dull, and before the Ilia foundation dried down , I was a little worried about that too. However, once it’s dry, it looks so naturally beautiful, like a healthier version of your own skin. For those that like more glow, I’ve seen some use Ilia highlighter serum under the foundation. I might try that in the future.Bottom line: I absolutely adore this foundation. It looks so good that I’m actually wearing foundation to work again. I haven’t done that in years because of the flakiness of my previous foundations. It may be on the pricey side, but it is worth it to me. I will definitely repurchase when I run out.

After weeks of wearing this foundation I finally connected the dot and realized I am allergic to this foundation. Any time I wear it I start sneezing like crazy, I develop the worst headaches, my nose gets stuffed up, eyes red, and a sore throat, as well as red patches on my face. I know it has to be it because I immediately feel better after I take it off. Just upset it took me this long to realize. Now I wasted all of this money on a product I can’t use.
