The dimensions listed are completely wrong and very misleading. It can't even fit a folder. I bought enough for each student in my class and will have to return all of them because they are way too small for teachers. The bins seem sturdy but is very frustrating that the product is listed with the wrong dimensions.

While these are a good price, the size is totally wrong! At the top, they measure 4 1/2 inches, but that is not the 'smallest' width of these, so you can't assume you can fit something very wide inside of them. I bought them to use as cabinet organizers. The width of the bottom of the storage containers is really only 2 3/4 inches! It goes wider as it goes up to the top, which doesn't help. The ad description should list the real minimum width so people know what they can actually fit inside these storage bins. Also, the length of the bottom is 9 inches, so if you are using it for books, you will not be able to put anything wider than 8 1/2 -- 8 3/4 inch wide books in them.Other uses:spice rackswill not work for canned goodsI bought some 14.3x5.3x7 inch ones and I use them to organize cleaning supplies and stuff in the hall closet, and behind the kitchen sink.If you find the right size storage bins, you can use them for can soup or other canned good organizers for cabinets, or to store can soda or beer in the refrigerator and not have to worry about cans getting moved around and out of order.If the measurements were realistic, I would have rated this item higher, but given that people are counting on accurate measurements to use a product, it is important to whether a product is a pass or fail! None of us want to deal with returns!

These bins came in rough shape and they are SUPER thin. I sent them back because they arrived damaged, but I probably would have sent them back even if they had been in better condition; a week or two in a classroom, and many of them would have been broken. Poor quality product, plastic is WAY TOO thin.

They look great with my new classroom look. I teach HS with special needs was tired of the primary color scheme. I used the book bins as a personalized mailbox for each of my students. Anything that needs to go home with them will go in here HW, notices, textbooks, folder or notebooks. Keeps everything organized as they unpack they place their notebook and communication books here also. I labeled with their name.

I was worried about ordering these after all the bad reviews, but it seemed all the reviews since 2016 said good things. I was worried I would get only 5, they would be cracked or broken and they would be funny colors... What I got was a set of 30 bins. 6 each of red, yellow, green, blue, and purple. The colors are lovely, not odd at all. There were no cracks or breaks although there were some stress marks, but that shouldn't effect use at all. They also did come with clear plastic label holders that stick on. They were only stuck on the purple ones but there were sheets of them in each yellow bin so all I had to do was stick them on. I do think those will come off rather easy, but after all I read, they seem like a bonus anyway! Each student gets their own bin and it works great for me! I did them by tables so that there is a red table, a yellow, green, blue, purple, and rainbow. When students switch desks, they will have to leave their old bin behind... I've only had them 3 days, so who knows... but so far, excellent!

DON'T ORDER these book bins, at least not if you want them to be 11.75 inches long. I ordered some yellow, blue, and red bins for my classroom, and they were only 9 inches long (the other dimensions listed in the product name are correct). I called Amazon and they weren't able to change the dimensions listed or find out if maybe they sent me the wrong ones; apparently, they can only change a product description if they have more than one complaint. The CSR was very nice and agreed to send me replacements, in the hopes that those would be the correct size. Unfortunately, they were the same (wrong) size. Now I have to decide if I want to keep them or send them all back. On the bright side, the colors are nice, and the plastic seems sturdy. I'm just annoyed that the dimensions listed are incorrect and that I have to go through all of this. One of the very few negative experiences I have had with Amazon.

These are very sturdy plastic! I use them to sort my books and files, my kids books (by author, by season, by type) and learning supplies (flash cards, DVDs, writing pads, math practice books, reading & comprehension practice books), kids art supplies (card stock, construction paper, etc), and TOYS! 2 of these fit side by side perfectly into the closetmaid cube organizers so those toys that dont have very many parts dont have to take up an entire 11x11 space, only half of it. I'm glad I found this product. I'm about to buy more to organize our medicine cabinet & pantry & closets.

I used these for kitchen organization of, ice tray molds, herbal teas, to place all rolls if tinfoil, zip lock bags, parchment paper rolls, wax paper rolls, plastic wrap rolls, to place soap making molds, bath bomb molds, small silicone accessories, measuring cups spoons sets, for hot chocolate packets, apple cider packets, regular tea bags, loose leave tea tins, small condiments, bulk napkins, lids for food saver products, food saver rolls, cotton flour sack cloths, dish rags, pot holders, attachments for Kitchen aide stand mixer, attachments for food processor, attachments for food saver, ect.

Very handy and colourful bins to have, but please be aware of the dimensions. The bins taper down quite a bit toward the base so the advertised dimensions make these seem larger than they are. At the top, the opening measures 3 7/8" x 9 1/2". The bottom narrows down significantly to 2 3/4" x 9". The front is 4 3/8" tall, and the back measures 8 1/4". This is certainly bit enough to hold duotangs and magazines, but the narrower base does reduce the number of items you can put into each bin and makes it easier to tip over if tall items are being put inside.

These were a little pricey so we were happy that the quality of material used in construction is fairly sturdy.Originally these were to be just used in the office for all the loose bits and bobbles that were spread all over the place.​The SMALL size bins are perfect for our narrow shelving.​They hold quite a bit of loose ends but also are used for coffee pods, teas and related supplies on the small shelf over our office keurig.​We've picked up a few more very similar ones to use in the pantry for extra small items like pouches, unopened spices, tiny paste cans, etc.. They keep them within reach and visible while not having to use the bulky and flat storage containers.​The narrowness of the bins takes up less shelf space than a lot of our previous storage type baskets, etc. and being uncovered make the contents very accessible without having to struggle with lids plus the height at the back provides that extra stacking space that comes in handy for the taller items.​Only limitations to using these bins is your imagination.

These bins are really great for organizing school binders, books or craft papers. The bin is a touch more than 12” in depth and about 4.5” wide. Lots of room to compartmentalize different school subjects into their own color code. I was disappointed in the colours I received though. I was excited with the colours that’s were pictured when I purchased. Instead I received an orange bin instead of purple. Gotta tell you, I was excited for the purple specifically since I already color coordinated some of my supplies based on the bin colours I thought I was getting. The product gets 4 stars because even if I got the wrong color this doesn’t change the effectiveness of the item. Just sad I didn’t get the look I was expecting. :(

These are such a great price but it was disappointing to the teachers at my school that there was a limit of ordering only one set! We have more than 20+ students in a class.

I got these book bins for my classroom and they seem to be doing the job. They can be a bit tippy when you put taller books in them, but the kids really like the handles for carrying them. Unfortunately they did not come with the front pockets they were advertised as having. I guess I will have to add my own labels to the front. It is listed as "assorted colours" and did not include the red box shown in the picture.
