This tool made fitting maguras and cutting down the hoses effortless and a pleasure. Cuts effortlessly through hose not breaking the surface tension of the oil (you still have to be careful, effortlessly drives the barb into the hose meaning the brakes were fitted, hoses sized without losing any oil or letting air in the system.

Like many, I suspect, I first looked at the Park Tool HBT-1, baulked at the price and then found my way here. It turned up fast, and is deceptively small, but it does what it says it will do. It cuts perfectly and lets you quickly fit the hose barb. I have fitted two new hoses easily with it and was pleasantly surprised to discover that the blade for cutting the hoses is just a few bits broken off from a craft knife - so cheap and easy to replace and keep sharp.I can't see why I won't be using this for years into the future (as long as I don't lose it).Recommended.

Good 2-in-1 tool

I bought this a little while ago as I was going to be replacing handlebars and trimming hydraulic hoses. I’ve finally got the bars and I have to say I was suitably impressed with this device. It does the job and it is much cheaper than tools from some of the better known brands.The cable cut was straight and flush (much better than I’ve achieved with mechanical cable cutters) and the insert was pressed in perfectly.The only issue I had was working out how it grips the cable when cutting, but when I sorted that out it was perfect.

Both the cable cutter and the barb insertion tool work well. I wasn’t sure how robust this would be but am pleasantly surprised by the quality. It feels like it will be durable and for now does the job very well.

Perfect, not a lot more to say. It's solid, cuts perfectly, and holds the hose perfectly when right pressure applied. For the price of it, it's 100%.

The functional design of this tool does not allow you to fit the hose to the bike, position the olive at the end of the hose and push the connector pin down without leaving the tool permanently attached to the bike.I have attempted to slide the olive up to the end of the hose after fitting the pin but the pin expands to hose diameter enough for the olive to not go near the end of the hose.Other tools which side clamp the hose in position have clearly thought this issue through as the olive when fitted to the hose on this tool is too wide to take the clamp off.Useless and frustrating, knowing in hindsight I would steer clear of this tool. It’s a shame non of the other reviews pointed this issue out.

Pour un usage domestique et non professionnel, c'est l'outil idéal. Il sera suffisamment solide pour mes prochaines purges ou changements de gaines.

Bin eben überrascht wie gut der Treiber verarbeitet ist und wie gut der Leitungsschneider schneidet! Noch nie so sauber eine Bremse montiert, Schnitt perfekt und die Nadel geht perfekt rein.

Sehr gutes Werkzeug, sauberer Schnitt der Bremsleitung, auch das eindrücken der Pins mittels Spannzange problemlos
