Mind Candy
If I read the book again I'll make notes, so I can keep track of all the cartoons' Characters' names straight.I believe in God that is, if there is a God I have faith that there is a God. I also think that were all children of God in more ways then one. I call the books Characters' Cartoons because were talking about a book not a being. Each book I read on the Norse Gods the pecking order changes Those somehow Odin is usually on top. In the third book there were many names that were not mentioned three times. I do with that the person that wrote the book didn't use He and She so much. Now I know what my Professor talked about needed to read the Charters' name. Sometimes I'd have to go back and reread a few pages before so that I'd know who the writer was talking about. But the book was a grate read. I check all the names runes, meanings and history on the net, to make sure they were or are real beings. What I'm saying is I figure there was a person that was named after those "Gods" and they live bigger then life lives. I hear one some peoples in history collected all songs and poems and stories with being with his God given name in them. I even found that there are even today peoples with the last name of Loki and wondered if that name was really a title meaning the Fire bringer.

All this and RAGNAROK...This is NOT your father's Norse Mythology!!!
The world of Midgard is slowly being choked to death in the grip of the Fimbulwinter. The mists of Hel's domain cover the world bringing with it a curse of demons who will possess and corrupt the bodies and souls of those lost within its shadowy grip. Only one place is safe from the ravages of the mists. Vanaheim. - home of the god-like Vanir. Vanaheim - where it is spring all forever. Odin must deliver his people to the safety of those isles while facing other clans; the Niflunger - Wizards of the Mist; the first among the Werecreatures; and finally the Vanir themselves. All the tragedy.. all the pain and tears...! It's all been leading up to this, the final book in THE RAGNAROK ERA trilogy. If you are a mythology fan...and specifically a NORSE mythology fan, you are going to find yourself drawn into this story...wrapped up so tightly that you won't be able to put the book down as you ride the ups and downs of this truly magical story. The action and adventure that were so much a part of the lead-ins finds its way to the finale as the final confrontation that Odin and his Aesir clans have been heading for against the god-like Vanir.Matt Larkin has built on the excitement of the first two books in this series ... books that were amazing in their own rights yet, the Author has gone back and reworked expanded the first two pieces of the trilogy. The first trilogy in a proposed set of three set in the 9 realms...

Not the end
According to the author, this was the third book of a trilogy. However, since The High Seat of Asgard is available, I'm not sure if that is the end or the start of the next generation story. No matter what , these books are brilliant reads. The author incorporates myth and history and his characters seem very real. They struggle to do what they think is best, to fight against the dark and the cold and make their world a better place. Sometimes they win, but it's not always a sure thing and it's never easy.I couldn't recommend these books any higher. If you're a fan of Norse mythology, read them now. If not, you may find yourself one after reading.Enjoy

On the origins of the Vanir, brilliantly deduced from the original myths itself
Who were the mysterious Vanir of Norse mythology? Where did they come from and where dd they go after that fabled war with the Aesir? Matt Larkin gives a remarkable interpretation that fills in our gaps of knowledge while staying true to what is actually written in Norse mythology itself.Matt Larkin has written a phenomenal series. It is a retelling of the vast collection of Norse myths in a way that is realistic enough to imagine it could have even happened for real. To achieve this while at the same time staying true to the original stories themselves is a balancing act that can only be achieved by a brilliant writer.

There is Light from the Darkness. But at what cause?
The 3rd in the series and “completes” the first trilogy. But you won’t want to stop here. It only gets better with each novel. Dark fantasy like No other! Read on and follow Odin, Loki, Thor and an entire cast of incredible characters as they head for Ragnorok!

Great take on myths
I love this new take on Norse myth. It's more raw, more dark, and, yet, more real. The Norse gods, people say, were popular because they were much like the humans who worshipped then. These versions of the Norse gods are even more human, making it easy to love (and hate) the characters, and dragging the reader into the story.

Matt Larkin my new favorite!
Matt Larkins series The Ragnarok Era is a dream come true for Norse mythology fans. Other authors give brief hints of these gods but Matt goes way beyond that. You are inside the minds of the gods Odin, Loki, Try and a host of other immortals.
