Purchased this to tie up our hard bottom dingy to the shoreline in Catalina, the perfect little kit to anchor just off shore of the island.

Only used once, so we'll see how it holds up, but worked great.

This is a sturdy sand anchor made for smaller watercraft that will be a big help on our paddling trips, especially on our summer beach vacations. We often stop to look for shells, shark’s teeth or just to walk up and down some remote beach while our kayaks are parked on the shore. More than once we’ve come back to find our boats perilously close to the water’s edge due to tidal changes.This 17” sand anchor will definitely do the trick in keeping our kayaks secure. Both the tightening handle and screw shaft are made of solid stainless-steel along with the attachment ring and 3” auger. The 10” handle has soft foam grips on each side and the length provides sufficient power to drive the shaft into the sand. The kit also comes with a carrying bag and a 4’ bungee docking line to attach the ring to your boat.The anchors can be purchased in lengths from 17" to 36" for different size boats and this 17" model is the smallest and is advertised for jet ski, kayak or pontoon boat use. The bungee lead line starts out at about 42” and stretches to 48”. While the construction of the anchor is solid, there are a few things I’d like to change. One is the black, solid-nylon storage bag. This bag will trap water and stay wet constantly. A mesh bag would be much preferred. The second thing I’d like to change is to add a way to attach the handle to the auger after use to keep it from getting lost. I'd like to make a hole in the handle but drilling stainless steel may be a challenge.Bottom Line: Well-constructed, sturdy, durable sand anchor made for kayaks, jet skis, small air-chamber boats. 17” anchor size comes with short 4’ bungee dock line. Would prefer a mesh storage bag and method to attach handle to the auger when not in use.

Foam on handle is coming off the first use. But I found the handle to be too short anyway so I will be building a larger one the same length as the sand drill.7-7-23 Was contacted by the seller in reference to my dissatisfaction and they made it right. Anchor is compact. Good finish with a secure weld on the screw.Holds my 17.5 foot boat at the lakeshore without any problems.

This worked great. It feels sturdy and I loved it even came with a storage bag. The rope and anchor worked great together.

I intended to use these at a sandbar and purchased two. You have to go under water to screw them in and it’s a pain.Better if you intend to be on docked on landed and want to be secured down

Used sand anchors today and they do not bite into the sand. Works ok, but not as expected or worth price paid for.

This thing is built very well nice welds on it. The stainless steel is key when being in the water. I had to use the rod to un screw it from the sand because I could not pull it out by hand even wiggling it and pull hard It wouldn't move.Highly recommend this I'd you have a PWC. I own a seadoo Spark and it fits in the front storage bin in the bag it comes in.
