Master Lock DSCHSD32D Heavy Duty Single Cylinder, Grade 2 Commercial Deadbolt with Bump Stop, Brushed Chrome Finish

I use 6-pin Schlage locks on my house because I like commercial hardware better. I needed a deadbolt for a door at the bottom of my bulkhead that would let me key to 6-pins to match, but I didn't want to spend a lot on a lock that would rarely get used.This worked great and the quality is in-line with locks over double the price. I'm impressed.

Everything about this is top notch quality, from the fit and finish to the construction. Very smooth lock mechanism operation. Make sure you have a 2 3/4 inch backset hole in your door. I installed this in my residential door in about an hour and a half, including chiseling out the door frame for the larger strike plate. Thru-bolts are removable, did not need them for my knob replacement situation. They are not needed anyway, as you still screw into the internal plate from the outside to secure it to the door. This type of entry does not lock/stop the outside handle from turning from the outside, so don't be surprised if you think it's not working right (it's actually more secure this way, once you see how the mechanism works after you install it). You push the button in from the inside to lock it. If you want it to be "sem-permanently" locked from the outside/keyed side, then you would push the knob in AND rotate it, it has a dual function capability. Very satisfied.

Nice looking lock that is sturdy

Very nice heavy duty lock / handle set. A bit more finicky then cheaper lock sets to install but once I read the instructions several times it went together.My 4 star rating is due to the fact that the door handle can be in the locked mode yet you can still open the door from the inside. So you go out, door closes, and you better have a key to get back in. Not a deal killer, but from my perspective a bit annoying, hence 4 vs 5 stars.

I have used several of these. They are much heavier and stronger than the typical deadbolts available in big box stores. They include a standard, 6 pin Schlage cylinder. Bump resistant. work smoothly. The similar entrance door set is of equally high quality and may be keyed the same. Both take an included, bump resistant, schlage 6 pin cylinder. Just make sure your setback is correct if you are replacing another lock set for which your door is already drilled. Cheaper locks use a shorter backset. You may have to plug the old holes and redrill if upgrading to these better quality sets.This time, the dead bolt was sent with the wrong bolt hardware, however with Amazon's return policy it was quick and painless to get a replacement on the way.

This is a commercial Grade 2 lockset. Will only fit 2-3/4" backset. I bought two of these and installed them in the entry doors (one steel and one fiberglass) at the rear of my house. I opted to drill the extra mounting holes. Very happy with the purchase. It is a solid, strong set made with, in my opinion, great manufacturing standards. I would buy this again for any door with the required backset. Once you've installed one of these, normal residential locks will seem flimsy by comparison.

Well short story long the reason we replaced it was the key was lost and the door was accidentally locked. A guy drilled out the lockset core, and needed similar if not identical replacement. I am familiar with Master and use their locks often in my position. This is for an internal lockable closet in a private office, so I feel that it will last a lifetime.

Strong robust

Nice lock for the price. This is my new go-to deadbolt on a budget, which I feel offers better quality and more features than the Schlage B60.Advantages of this lock over the Schlage B60:- Solid and massive security collar on the outside of the lock (B60 is not nearly as beefy)- Keyed 6 pin with bump protection (B60 is 5 pin and does not have the anti-bump features in this lock)- Strong anti-ice pick shield that covers the dead latch inside the door (Schlage B60 no longer includes an ice-pick shield, making it vulnerable to hammer attacks)- A heavy duty strike is included with decent quality screws (Schlage B60 no longer includes a heavy duty strike plate)Keep an eye on the pricing as it fluctuates...but for what I paid I am very, very happy with these locks.

This replaced a commercial style door handle that was damaged in a break in, at less than half the cost of original brand.This door lock set handle looks very similar to the one it replaced, and the quality seems good.

This is a fantastic handle. I have tried 2 other handles Weiser and Bestten, both failed and became wobbly in my door after a short time. This can be installed without using the 2 outside posts as long as your set back is 2 3/4" and your hole is 2 1/8". Works really nice and smooth. I am tempted to replace all my handles with this as it functions like none others I have tried for residential use.
