I really like this ice chest
I really like this ice chest. Be aware that this (small) 22 quart cooler does not have the same wall thickness of the bigger Canyon Coolers. This one has wall thickness about 1.5" thick. So it really doesn't keep your stuff as cold as one of the bigger coolers. On the other hand, in a smaller cooler like this, you still have some decent internal volume to hold your stuff.Construction of the cooler is very good. I like the size, shape, and latches very much.Compared to the cheaper hard-sided and soft-sided coolers I have used, this one is fantastic at keeping things cold.

Really Cool!
Right size for one or two day trips. Choice of ice packs or cubes make an impact on the length of keeping the interior cold. I did experience some external sweating on the bottom, but not a show stopper.

Kept ice for 3 days on a road trip
Exceeded my expectations. Kept ice for 3 days while we were on a road trip. It's a nice size for us.

2nd Cooler from Canyon disappointing
We had the same cooler and got rid of it when we moved. Purchased this one and the lid would not stay open. This is a HUGE inconvenience if you're trying to put things in or get them out. I reached out to Canyon Coolers since they are only a couple hours from where I live. The company informed me that the door not staying open was not a defect and that I just needed to deal with it. They said it was because it is a smaller cooler with small hinges?! Ooookay. Returned and got a small hard Yeti. It stays open and has better latches. Our first Outfitter cooler from Canyon had no issues. I read a few reviews on other sites and people mention them not staying open. It does seem like a design flaw.

Fits a 30 rack son
I get complemented on this bad boy on the jobsite all the time. Maybe they just like my stickers, but the thing holds ice for two days, is bear proof, and made in the usa unlike those engels! My first journeyman told me "never buy a lunchbox you can't sit on" and this one makes a good seat. It can be tough to fit through turnstiles and on busses but you can do it. Just knock those jabronies igloos out of the way and you'll squeeze right through.
