A very nice thin material that is airy and light,It also feels nice to the touch (and retains purfumes/aftershaves in the fabric, which I think is a nice point), but it isn't waterproofThe size I ordered was perfect for me (amazon recommended a size based on other things I purchased and it was fine) and the hood also comes quite a far way forward (not good for some, but great for me as it keeps the sun out the eyes)I would imagine that it would be good to workout in (if you're that way inclined), but as an every day hoodie its perfect - you hardly notice that you're wearing it and the pockets are spacious tooAlso, I really like the black and white design, it is simple but effectiveVery happy with the purchase, and if ever something happens to my current one, I'll definitely be ordering another
