Suppose I'll go to hell š± for thinking the "paper" tastes like communion wafer?
The media could not be loaded. I was raised Catholic. And I always felt guilty for wishing that after the priest put a heavenly host on my tongue during communion and said "Body of Christ" that instead of whispering the requisite "Amen" like the goody two shoes I was, I could pull an "Oliver Twist" and say "Please Sir, may I have some more?" Gee my mom woulda been mortified! But I loved the bland taste of those white wafers and how they melted in my mouth.Decades later, I've found some I can eat guilt free in this Edible Candy Paper set pack of four. I swear these taste just like them, if memory serves.Unless you count my guilt cuz I should be writing secret spy notes on them for my grandson recipient to read and then swallow so the spy message doesn't get in the wrong evil hands! That was my plan with these, for us to play more spy through the mail.Only three problems:1) the papers don't come in any wrapping at all once you open the hard plastic clear shell. These are food. (Relatively.) They should be protected from germs. The paper sheets should be individually wrapped like gum is, at least in cellophane. Who wants to write so many messages at once? Zip lock bags will solve this problem, but designers shoulda thought of that2) Several in the first set papers (have only opened one of four) came broken (see photos of red ones.) One even looked like someone couldn't resist and took a tiny bite outta it.3) the pen "ink" while tasting great to me and my mom (sweet and sour), comes out gushy 3D. It wouldn't work to be mailed. This is a fun idea for candy and activity in one. Just needs a little fine tuning.

Yuck
These taste like cardboard and they are impossible to actually write on. Itās not like a pen itās more like jelly so it just oozes everywhere. Do not recommend

A novelty
No, these do not taste good. But , my kids really enjoyed them so while I would give them three stars, they would easily give them five stars. I think a fair compromise is four stars. As a gag gift, stocking stuffer, party favor etc these will be popular. I would also venture to say that they are more popular for the younger crowd. The paper tastes like those communion wafers. They donāt have a flavor but an odd crispy texture. They dissolve in your mouth and have a sticky feel. After they dissolve they donāt linger but washing them down with water just feels like a good idea. The pen is a gel type of substance. Itās difficult to write with. Also, itās very sticky and again, doesnāt taste good. These are most definitely a novelty item and I would argue have their place. But tasty or enjoyable are not words I would use to describe them.

Do your homework before purchasing.
I bought these for my granddaughter after she saw them on a short video. Her father looked at the ingredients and noticed that one of the paper ingredients is Titanium Dioxide. The UK has band it, as it may be a carcinogen. Of course after purchasing I found out this item cannot be returned. Do your homework before purchasing this item.

Too expensive for what it is
This is a neat idea and my daughter had fun with it, but it isnāt something I could justify buying again. The āpaperā. Is made of a water paper and sort of dissolves in your mouth. It has little flavor. The pen is just sweet gel candy. My daughter used almost all the āinkā on the first sheet. Itās difficult to rate, because my 9 year old had a great time with it, but I just canāt justify the price. If it was under $10 I would buy it again. Itās just too over priced for me.
