This was great at first but it only lasted about 5 months then completely snapped in half. Our dog is medium size, about 42 pounds, but if he's strong enough to break it, I can't image larger dogs using this. It began to fray basically as soon as we started using it. Our dog takes 2 walks a day, about 20 minutes. He only pulls on it when he sees another dog walking by but otherwise he walks very well on the leash so it really should have lasted longer than this. Also the retractable part of it was sticking alot so it would get stuck when I wanted to real him in then I had to pull on the leash with my bare hands which hurt alot.

Bought this leash but kept it for travel or special use while still using his old tape retractible leash. Probably total uses would be 4. The tape stopped retracting into the handle. It also twists & jams when further extension is done. We have a nice looking leash with a long pieces of the tape hanging out always. Do not recommend as return - exchange policy is weak. Should have shopped Walmart!

We have a 60 lb golden retriever. We have small children, they were able to walk our dog with ease. Other leashes are uncomfortable and heavy, the super leash is light and user friendly. It has a smooth locking mechanism unlike the clunky ones we've tried in the past. The leash is durable and strong, others look like a string of yarn and cause rope burns if our dog rubs against us or anyone. The super leash a thick, wide leash which makes it the first leash we let our children use because we don't have worry about anyone getting hurt. We are very happy and impressed with our super leash.

I like the way it feels when walking my dog. Have had some problems with the locking button not always working properly. Seems I have to stop, give a pull then a push. Won't happen all the time so I just deal with it rather than return. Other than that I like it. Really like the yellow leash.

I was super excited when this leash arrived. I have a 50 lb Australian Sheppherd who loves to go for walks. Within the first 3 weeks of using the leash it's already broken and going in the garbage. The nylon ribbon has torn near the clasp and is no longer usable. If you have a very active dog, like mine, I recommend going with an even stronger and heavy duty leash.

It works like most other retractable leashes. If the leash gets twisted then it will not retract.
