Nice quality mat, but
Nice quality mat, but with no means of it being secured it's of little use. The product description makes no mention of magnets, clips or a non-slip surface - and there are not. Really more deserving of 3.5 stars.

It gets the job done.
You have to have a plan when using this. It doesn't have a lot of weight to it so it moves around way more than I'd like and as it turns out, it can't stand temps that are too high or it'll melt... So that's cool. That said, I'm not very smart and I don't iron often, so I'm probably doing it wrong. I'm not, but I could be. All-in-all it's a serviceable option if you don't have space for a real ironing board. Or you're cheap. Or both.

Fabulous!!!!
Bought these to save my new ironing board cover from the iron fusing I use for sewing projects...it gets on the ironing board cover & you can't get it off. These ironing pads are so great I ordered a second one. May order a third one for travel to keep in my luggage. You know how it is you find something you like then it is discontinued or out of stock.

Great for short jobs!
It works great for short jobs, but it will start letting heat through if you're ironing for awhile. I use this when pressing tshirts, and I need to let it cool down after a few.

IT’S OBVIOUSLY MADE OF A MATERIAL SUCH AS POLYESTER WHICH IS NOT HEAT RESISTANT!!
GARBAGE... I JUST NOW WENT TO USE THIS... IT’S FOR IRONING!!! HERE IS WHAT HAPPENED IMMEDIATELY... USELESS.

Just Use A Towel
This thing is cumbersome, I can't get the folding wrinkles out of it, and it doesn't slow down heat transfer to the surface any better than a dish towel.I would not purchase this again because it just doesn't add any value.

Totally not heat proof
I’m really disappointed with this product mostly due to lack of heat resistance. I bought this mat instead of regular ironing board to save some space and hoping the sturdiness would be similar as in case of regular boards. Unfortunately, during the first ironing the iron scorched the mat and it barely touched its surface. I don’t recommend this product.

only use for quilting?
The instructions on this mat when it came says "not suitable for high heat. only to be used for quilting." Why would anyone knowingly buy an ironing mat that isn't heat resitant?!!
