SO COMFORTABLE
THESE ARE THE BEST! I have tried on other tap shoes that don't have laces and hated them. These fit your foot like a glove. Both my son and I have them. I went up half a size from my normal shoe size and added some Vionic slim fit insoles bc I have plantar fasciitis, he went up from a 5.5 to a 7, and wears them without the insoles. They have eliminated our foot ache at the end of class, they make such a lovely tap sound, and there are no laces to tie every 5 minutes. I love them so much!

I love Bloch
I've worn Bloch tap shoes for years and have always loved them. This is the first time I'm wearing a slip on and split sole - I usually wear a lace up style with a single sole. These are SUPER comfortable and sound excellent. Perhaps it's due to the style, but I ended up being a whole size smaller in these shoes than my other Bloch taps. I've always worn a 7.5, but tried on both a 7 and 6.5 in this style and found the somewhat snug 6.5 to be a better fit. I'm anticipating a little stretch as I wear these.

Stretching from wearing
I am a dance instructor and have used Bloch taps for many years but have never used this style. I wear a size 9 street shoe and ordered a size 9 and they fit perfectly. After having these for two years now strictly teaching 3-4 classes, one night a week, the shoes have stretched out to where they slip off of my heels and I can no longer use them to tap in unless it’s for my little kids, doing no fast tapping or jumping. I’m afraid they will slip off when I am doing pull backs or grab offs or roll an ankle! The leather and taps have held up well. Comfort wise they’ve been great and I like the flexibility in the arch for “jazz” tap moves but the stretching out is disappointing. I will have to stick to leather tie Bloch taps from now on. I wish I had gone a half size down instead, and could still be using them in classes.

These tap shoes are AMAZING. I can't say enough good things about them
These tap shoes are AMAZING. I can't say enough good things about them. They are insanely comfortable, they fit like a glove, and the sound is great. I read all the reviews where the majority people said they went half a size up from their street shoe and the fit was perfect, and then a few people said they just ordered their street shoe size and they fit perfect. So, because I normally wear between a 6.5 and 7 in a street shoe, I decided to go with a size 7 in these instead of 7.5 and they fit absolutely perfectly. I love them. If you're on the fence about these, get them!

Great shoe! Great price!
I bought these tap shoes to replace my cheaper-no name- I ever heard- of brand. I stayed with the slip-on style as I don't wanna fiddle around with laces.I do like the flex sole. The shoe is comfortable and the taps are way better sounding than my cheapo pair. Way better!!!!!!I added insoles to my shoes and they still fit comforably... They are perfectly fine without adding the insole, but my feet appreciate the extra cushion. I have calluses in same area on both feet.Size: I ordered my normal street shoe size of 5.5I tap at home about 10 hours a week using videos as my teachers. The last time I tapped in a class was probably 1976 or 1977. Happy Tapping!

The Thumb Rule
After nervously debating back and forth between buying my daughter a size 7.5 or an 8, I decided on the 7.5. My daughter is currently wearing a 7.5 shoe. Do you remember when you use to try on shoes at the store and your mom would place her thumb sideways at the top to determine if you had room to grow? That's how my daughters tennis shoes fit. Well that's also how the tap shoes fit. While these are more than I care to pay, they are a great shoe and our dance studio prefers Bloch. Definitely a good purchase.

Worth the price
This is our second pair of these shoes. They are a little more pricy than others, but worth the money. Her old pair lasted 2 years. They are very flexible and shaped so nicely to her foot. When she first got them we thought we should have gone up a size, but she wore them a they fit like a glove now.

These are truer to your size then the size chart states.
I had the 40.00 cheaper bloch for a few years and it was a whole size larger than my foot and still too tight to wear socks. I had to return these one time to just get a half size larger. They still feel a little big, but my tap teacher told me that i just needed to get used to them and they were a good fit. I love not having shoe strings!!

Comfortable, almost true to street size (slightly smaller)
I’m a 7, sometimes 6.5. The 7s fit perfectly but there’s no chance of wearing socks with them, not even thin ones. (I suspect pantyhose would fit, haven’t tried.)That aside they’re incredibly comfortable out of the box and have a nice sound, and at a great price for Blochs. Would buy again, possibly in 7.5 (to have space for thin socks).

I purchased this shoe several years ago and it lasted ...
I purchased this shoe several years ago and it lasted very well. I bought these shoes (exact same make/size) in October and they are already broken. I am unable to wear them, as soon as I start dancing the heel support works its way down to the floor and they fall off.
