This little wooden heart measures approximately 4.5 x 4.3 cm. Images on the product page give you a good idea of the size object you'll receive. This particular "hug" is stamped with the words "Just For You". It is a very tactile object which is pleasing to hold, although it wasn't quite as smooth as I was expecting. The product page says it's handmade but it does have the feel of something that is more mass-produced.It is made from Zelkova which is a member of the Elm family. The product page says it is meant to have a natural wood scent but I got nothing from it at all.It does come in a net pouch but I don't think this added anything to the product as mine had several loose threads. The current price of 12.88 feels expensive for what you're getting, would be worth keeping an eye out for special offers.Overall - there is no denying that this is an appealing object which would make a nice gift. It just seems to be a little on the expensive side.

This little wooden, varnished and inscribed, heart is really cute. So smooth and tactile that it is a pleasure just to hold. The one I got is inscribed (by burning I think) with the words :- Just for You. Various messages are, I believe, available and some may be of more use than others.What lets this lovely object down a lot is the packaging. It comes in a nylon, opaque, draw string bag with a small white ribbon type thing that closes the bag. The whole effect is that it looks rather cheap and nasty even though you can see the heart inside. For nearly £13 I cannot help but feel that the packaging could be a lot better!

This arrives with a small organza gift bag inside a small plastic bag, so it's clean & can be ready to gift in less than a minute (as long as you don't mind that the bag is see through).The heart shaped hug itself is a very nice size which I found surprisingly comforting to hold in either hand.It's been very well sanded & I couldn't raise the grain even after dampening it with water.There is a low sheen finish on the wood so this is unlikely to pick up a stain easily by accident.The stated size of 4.5cm x 4cm x 3cm seems about right, although mine was closer to 5cm across at the widest point so perhaps it's a teeny bit bigger.I actually like this more than I was expecting to, but then we all need a hug sometimes, so maybe I just needed it when it turned up.I would buy this for someone I cared about who I thought needed to know somebody else thought they mattered.
