Have not used it yet, but I can tell you - you'll wish you had a spare thermocouple on hand on that cold night when your gas heat goes off, service techs are backlogged with calls, and the stores are all closed! It's a quick replacement that requires minimum skills and hand tools, and can get you up and running if a failed thermocouple is your problem. Keep one on hand!

Excellent thermocoupler and great value. I used it to replace my rv water heater thermocoupler. The water heater pilot was turning on but not staying on when lighting. I saw videos about this fix and ordered this universal thermocoupler. After replacing, the pilot light stayed on as well as the water heater flame. Now I have hot water in my rv.

It was not expensive so I ordered it. Turned out to be the wrong one for the gas fireplace in our family room. I couldn't find the information on the gas insert, it is my error. I am just adding that information for others so they will know. This is probably for smaller units, definitely an application other than a gas fireplace insert.

Works well enough so far.

It came with no instructions regarding how to use the attachments, so I didn't know how to attach the ferrel, and I didn't use it! The heated end is held in place by only the copper tubing resting on the hole it goes through.

Not much to say. It works as it should. Used for a furnace.
