Still working since 2009!
It's main use is as a monitor to record DJ mixes at a home studio. Used on occasion in a mobile DJ setting as a monitor. Sound quality is on the flatter side but, they're very loud. Small size makes it portable. Does have a little heft to it. Ordered it with the mic stand adapter and set it up on a desktop mic stand by my turntables. Does the job perfectly. Great options of inputs and EQ controls. I can see why they're still selling them til this day.

Hums
I've had one of these for about 5 or 6 years. Never had a problem with it other than having to screw the compression fitted mic stand mount onto it (see other reviews for the fix). I needed another and recently ordered one. A noticeable hum when I plugged it into my system. The older one does not hum. Nady said that there is a certain amount of hum due to they're trying to keep production costs down. I am not impressed. Would have shelled out a few bucks more for a quieter unit.

Great value, does the job.
Not a full range, hi fidelity speaker, however it's very well suited for it's purpose - on-stage personal monitor. We use this daisy chained to a PM-100 for our drummer and keyboard player, both of whom sing, in a classic rock band. It has a pronounced mid-range, but that tends to deliver more volume for vocals without feedback. No problems. Bottom line: not high-end gear, but effective and good bang for the buck.

Waste of money.
Noisy and unusable. Constant humming noise when no other sound being transmitted. Very distracting and unusable for our church

These are a great solution for difficult monitor situations
These powered monitors are a great solution for providing accurate sound reproduction for performers in many difficult situations. They are small enough to be mounted where you need them; up close or at a reasonable distance, (consider their size). They can be daisy chained for like feeds. They have built in EQ. They have speaker outputs that are powerful enough to power larger speakers, (if you need more bass), they have headphone outputs if you cant get them close enough. They are mic and line level compatible. Stand mountable with the adapter. They are not designed to "shake the house" so if you don't abuse them and they'll work great for a long time.

Can't handle any volume, or low end frequencies.
I received it today. The first thing I did was plug 3 different vocal mics into it and check the sound of the monitor. Just having the volume 35% of the way up and speaking into the mic, the low frequencies of the vocal make the speaker buzz, or vibrate in the casing of the monitor. All 3 mics did that. And the Eq's were all straight up at the 12 o' clock setting, which is probably 0 db. This monitor basically does what most hot spot style monitors do. They can't handle any kind of volume and sound like AM radio. I even tried turning down the low eq to almost -10, and it did the same thing, just not as bad. I might try using this with a friend's band who is performing this weekend in a small club, but honestly, as a pro level touring sound engineer(and as a musician myself), I can tell you that I don't want to put a buzzy speaker that can't be turned up loud in front of any musician. I will probably be returning this item in a few days.

Decent
Really good for individual vocal practice, but in a practice room with the rest of my band (PA, drums and guitar amplifiers) it's as though it's turned off. Can't imagine it'd be any different on a stage.

Better Sound, More Flexibility, Very Impressive
So much better than the one I replaced with it. Better sound, more flexibility, very impressive.

Love this, using it as a floor monitor.
When I received this product my first though was wow it's very small. Then I plugged it in to try it and my thought on that was WOW, I can't believe how loud this little speaker is. Connecting from my my monitor output on my mixer is how I'm using it and I am really impressed. It's way more compact and convenient to carry to gigs than my previous monitor was.I'm an acoustic player/singer and also use a BeatBuddy and Loopstation, all come through loud and clear so I can hear what the house hears. Strongly recommend!

150 Watts? How are you measuring that?
Overall, this is not a bad device for the price, but my 22 Watt Mesa Boogie would bury it.It's just not very loud.I used it with an amp modeler in a small club. It's good enough for a personal guitar monitor if you mount it on a mike stand to bring it closer to your ears, but I had to go through the PA to be heard down front. On the plus side, it has a 'send' output to the PA, though it's 1/4", not an XLR line.I also found the tone controls Bass-Mids-Treble to be useful. I could compensate for the room and get the same sound out of the speakers as I hear through headphones. Pretty close, anyway.

Leans a Little
It's small and not super loud but it works well only big complaint is if you have it on a stand the holes off to the side so it's weighed down on the one side.

Constant hum, and distorts easily. Suspect grounding problem.

Great Product - Versatile powerful enough - Good Quality
It is a great PSM for rehearsal or in small venue. It work as expected. I tried different PSM before going with this one and I haven't seen much difference compared to high end product. For the price it is a good deal.
