It's a pretty convenient firefighting tool. I've used it to grab both 1 3/4" & 2 1/2" hose in assisting with hose advancement. It has a pointed edge I've used for making small inspection holes in gypsum board and digging through debris during fire investigations. There is a small cut out that perfectly fits the oxygen tank valve. Built pretty tough, it easily fits in my bunker pants pocket. Finally, I've used it to hook onto a chainlink fence to hang my coat up during rehab.

The small opening is 1.95 inches, and the large opening is 2.86 inches.

No this tool acts as a spanner wrench, glass cutter, window break, has shut off, and for hose advancement.

Q: Is this a great tool for civilans use one who is not a firefighter?

I've only ever used it in Firefighting contexts, but if you work with charged 1.75" or 2.5" hoses and need to move them around, this will make that task easier. On another note, the glass breaker on the end is well made and reliable as well. I'm unsure what other civilian uses this tool will have though.
