CitizenMen's Eco-Drive Weekender Garrison Chronograph Field Watch in Super Titanium, Blue Dial (Model: AT2480-57L)

I wanted a high-quality chronograph watch at a bargain and this Citizen met my requirements. Pros: Titanium case and bracelet weigh almost half compared to stainless steel. Eco Drive solar power is more convenient and reliable than either battery or automatic power so you don’t have to reset it or replace batteries. The sapphire crystal should provide excellent scratch resistance. I like the large, easy to read luminous yellow Arabic numerals on the dark blue watch face which provide high contrast. The size and wearability are comfortable for my 7.25” wrist. Chronograph feature is easy to use and reset. Cons: Lots of good but not quite perfect. The chronograph only measures 1-second increments so that’s not as precise as many other watches. The date window is tiny and has no cyclops magnification in the crystal.Overall: This is a durable, lightweight chronograph watch loaded with features at a reasonable cost.

I bought this watch on Amazon in Nov 2023. It's case and strap are made of Super Titanium with a sapphire glass crystal. The watch is very light and comfortable on the wrist. The numerals on the face are easy to read. I charged it up on my windowsill for a day and I set the time to the atomic clock in Colorado thanks to the hacking movement. The watch is quite accurate, as would be expected from Citizen. Since I set it a couple weeks ago it's still within 1 second of the atomic clock, with is far more accurate than most quartz watches, which gain or lose 15 seconds or so a month. The watch is fairly understated, but still classy. I love it, and it's still getting a lot of wrist time nearly 5 months after I bought it.

I love this watch, but I went through a couple of used ones that didn't return the Chronograph hand to the 12 o'clock position. I liked it so much that I gave the first one to a friend because of his football team colors. These are nice and light, and easy to read, (except for the date).

I bought the Citizen Super Titanium Garrison watch during Prime Days for a great price. The watch looks nice, but the date is unreadable and it cannot be read at night. You would think such a nice watch would be able to be used in low light.I have 2 other Citizens, but this one is disappointing.

I really like this watch, and have received a lot of compliments. I appreciate the lightness of the "super-titanium," though I don't really know if the case is completely made of titanium. Aside from the little window for the date, the face of the watch is very easy to read, and the glow in the dark lasts all night long.

Close up, this watch looks great. But functionally, the date display is way too small... and with no backlight , this watch is impossible to read at night . The watch is light and quite attractive, but the titanium has very little bevel and needs a bit more softening on the edges.
