Fantastic laptop at reasonable price!
Pros:* Amazing screen. Simply the nicest screen I have ever seen on a notebook.* 100% sRGB and DCI-P3 coverage + HDR support.* Screen is 90 Hz.* Fantastic build quality. All aluminum. Laptop meets the MIL-STD-810H durability standard.* Light. 3.06 lbs.* Keyboard is very nice with decent travel (1.4mm) and clicky feedback. Backlit with 3 levels.* Touchpad is super smooth and doubles as a NumberPad.* Great selection of ports including two USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) ports with Power Delivery.* Excellent performance. Equivalent or better than similar 12th gen Intel notebooks.* Very good battery life.* Fast SSD. Intel 670p.* Decent wireless card. AzureWave AW-XB468NF.Cons:* 8 gb of ram and soldered.* Average gaming performance.I love this laptop. The form factor and screen are amazing. Performance is top level. My budget was $700 and this is a lot of Laptop for that cost. I would have liked to have more ram and better gaming performance but that is not possible at that cost point. I replaced the SSD with a 970 EVO Plus 1 TB I was not using which was a great upgrade.

Excellent machine. Fast with lots of expansion capabilities builtin
It took a little while to get use to not having a touch screen, but every thing else was great. I bought on Amazon as a like new used unit with a great discount.

Brilliant Screen
I've been very satisfied with my purchase. The screen has brilliant colors and enhances your visual experience. The keyboard is spaced well and easy to use and I enjoy the 10 key feature on the touch pad. Speaking of the touch pad, this is the only frustration I find and it's only because the way I place my hands. It work perfectly when you push the correct position :) The camera, speaker and microphone are all of adequate quality. It's lightweight and a size that makes it easy to travel with yet has a big enough screen for daily work. If you're on the fence, I suggest go for it.

Excellent screen, good performance, mediocre chassis
This laptop has an excellent screen and performs well. Battery life seems good. The design and build quality of the chassis leave a lot to be desired in my opinion. I got it primarily for the screen and at a good price so I'm keeping it. I would return it had I paid something closer to it's list price. It has creaky chassis flex. The screen hinge is not tight when the screen is up. Every surface is covered with a texture that attracts finger prints. The tab key on my example doesn't work right. There are 2 small feet on the back of the screen that are sharp and can catch fingers or fabrics. I guess they're some kind of stops for the hinge. To upgrade the SSD requires removing 7 visible torx screws (no problem) and 2 philips screws that are buried under 2 of the taped on rubber feet (dumb). This is documented on the Asus web site so I guess they think that makes it OK. It also smells weird, not the usual new electronics smell.I run Linux and it mostly works on this laptop. The biggest issue is I haven't been able to get sound out of the speakers yet but the headphone jack does put out sound. The trackpad won't go into numpad mode in Linux since that apparently requires driver support. The SSD I put in wouldn't come up to full speed at boot but I found a way to get it up to full speed post boot. I don't use Bluetooth, the webcam or the fingerprint reader so I haven't test them. The webcam is USB so is probably fine. The card reader does work well.
