Kadin Homes Grill Light – Barbecue Grilling Accessories for Outdoor Grilling – Durable & Weather Resistant

I bought this in Sept thinking I would use it once DST ended, since its dark when I grill after that. I would like to do pros and cons on this produce. Unfortunately, I can't think of any pros. Its just a poorly designed and made product.First, I put it on my grill handle since I was going to use it later that day. After awhile, I looked out the window and the light was on; so I went out and shut it off. Later I looked out and the light was on again. I went through this routine a few more times over the next couple days. Apparently the wind must activate the light; which means I can't leave it on the grill. That electronic touch button is too sensitive. A good old fashioned toggle switch would be better.Second, the arm on the light is not long enough to extend past the front edge of the grill, which means I can't leave it in a position that would shine on the grill grates - so, I'm constantly adjusting it up and down for when i open or close the lid. The third time I used it, I forgot to lift the light; and when I shut the grill lid, it clipped the front edge and broke. There is a tiny little plastic piece inside the pivot head that broke in half which can't be repaired; so the light and the arm are no longer attached. For me, that means it worthless - toss it out. And since I'm past the 30 day guarantee, that's not good anymore either. One more thing, the battery door fastens shut with a tiny little screw that's kind of a pain in the neck to get in and out. I'm sure that if you don't want to leave the batteries in all the time, and you're frequently opening and closing that door, that tiny little screw hole is going to wear out; and you won't be able to keep the door closed.

I don't know why they say this is weather resistant. The screw holding the battery compartment and the battery contacts inside showed rust within two months even though it was never left in the rain. We're in Florida so it's high humidity, but you would think that as long it wasn't directly exposed to the elements it would be fine for covered outdoor use. Sadly it's not. It completely stopped functioning after a few months. I reached out to Kadin Homes after about 6 weeks (2 weeks past the 30-day warranty), but not surprisingly I never heard from from them. I'd look elsewhere for a light if you want to actually use it outside.

The brightness of the light (when in full bright mode) is good, however I get about 8-10 uses before I need to replace the batteries (I am using Amazon batteries). I have not had the light for that long and have needed to change the batteries 4 times already.Additionally, I continue to accidentally turn off the light whenever I go to adjust its angle. The location of the power button, coupled with the sensitivity of the button make it incredibly easy to unintentionally power off.

My husband was surprised to find this waiting for him when he got home from work. It shines a good amount of light on the grill to allow him to see what he is doing and it's small, which means it doesn't get in the way of cooking. Batteries are easy to replace! We haven't had to replace them yet so not sure on life of batteries!

Just received the light last week. It does seem well made and fits on to the grill handle quite easily, but it won't work for me. The size of the light won't fit with the geometry of the grill, and how the handle sits relative to the front edge of the grill. It could work if the light was manually rotated around the grill handle each time the lid was raised and lowered, but that's not going to happen (at my house). Maybe I'll find another use for what really is a pretty decent light.

Excellent product. I grill at least 75% of our evening meals, and probably most after dark by the time we get done with our doings. It works much much better than the one I got from Lowe's last year, which gave up the ghost before a year was up. Lights better too. If it lasts even a couple years, I'll be happier than I am now. But I love it, especially for the price.

When the sun starts setting this little light comes in handy. It was easy to attach to my grill's handle and it provides the perfect amount of light on the food. I don't see how we ever grilled without it.

This light illuminates the grilling surface well. We do have to move it out of the way when closing our Weber Genesis grill. It also needs to be turned on/off as it doesn't have a mercury switch that turns it on/off when you raise/lower the grill lid like some other lights. Overall for the price, it's a good grill light.
