As a regular Barbie, I say yes (even for a OCC box)
I bought this on sale, not as a "holiday" Barbie, but because the price was OK, and I liked the dress -- a Barbie gown that fits any given doll can be a challenge, so, if the price gets low enough....A few notes -- yes, the earrings are removable, I checked (I won't be doing that as the potential for losing them is too large). This IS an 11.5 inch Barbie, a bit on the leggy side, with one leg slightly bent (I think of it was a model's pose -- or the doll might be taking a step forward). The feet are VERY pointed (think stiletto suitable), so many casual outfits will be less than appropriate. It was a challenge to get her out of the box without damaging her or cutting her hair. I removed the sticky stuff used to make sure the dress says in place on her chest (it isn't needed, in my opinion, as the dress stays up just fine), and I don't want other clothes leaving lint behind on the doll.As to her hair...I think it's lovely. It IS stiff (think of hair stiffly sprayed for a big evening out). For me that was overdone, so I used a WIDE tooth COMB to loosen it up a bit without removing all the curl. It is now slightly curled and VERY full -- I can address that with a small bread tie if it needs to be tied back or to the side for any particular look. I think a brush or overdoing it would make the hair look frizzy. She looks nice, I think, with an added tiera. Some Barbie outfits are a bit large on her -- the blue cloud and lavender long short outfit comes to mind. You could turn the top into a jacket (something I've done before), but the shorts are still much too big...they can be put on and removed without opening the velcro at all). The hairdresser dress is a bit snug, but it works. I even took a nurse outfit (I used aqua top with white pants), put the nurse front opening in the back (it's covered by her hair), and it becomes a tunic with a "V" opening at the bottom, with white pants and high heels, change out the heels, of course. A number of pants would work, I think. Swimsuit etc., no, not unless she's in a pageant, because of the feet. If you look at the fashion doll sets of outfits on Amazon, the white dress with black polkas and a big red bow works (it even goes with the "polish" on her nails), the sun dresses work. She's leggy, so, for me, a skirt that is too short would be a concern.I got a fashion doll "closet" at a dollar store -- those are smaller and will fit in the boxes I use as shoe box gifts. Added some heels and purses, necklaces, sunglasses, a pet and carrier (all form the same sort of source, sold in multi-item sets). Presto! Barbie with wardrobe, for less than a full-price holiday Barbie.

Pretty barbie
Fantastic addition to any toy collection. The doll itself is beautifully designed, with vibrant and detailed clothing that reflects a modern, stylish look. I LOVE the dress. The attention to detail in her accessories and hairstyle is impressive, making her a delight for imaginative play. The doll is well-made and durable, perfect for hours of creative fun.

She's PERFECT
I'm in my 40s and I've never had a Barbie doll. I played dolls with my friends but never had a Barbie of my own. By the time my mother had money for toys, I had given up on the idea of Barbie. I didn't believe that you could be anything, do anything, accomplish anything. So I gave up on Barbie for the fantasy of She-Ra and Jem and the Holograms. Fast forward many years, and I take my daughter to see the Barbie movie. It was much more than I thought it would be, and by the time I got home, I knew I had to buy my first Barbie. So I spent a lot of time trying to find my perfect one. I decided on this gorgeous holiday version of Barbie. Opening her felt like Christmas. She's absolutely perfect and I'm so happy to own my first ever Barbie! I'm not a collector so I took her right out of the box! I love her lol

Shes pretty but didnt realize the year was on the box
Shes pretty but didnt realize the year was on the box. Unless you're a fan of Barbie collectibles seems silly for me to keep it in the year 2024. Especially since I was going to gift the Barbie to a friends 4 year old daughter, because of the movie hype. Also as another person mentioned the hair does look stiff, meant to look but not to play with.
