Spadehill Women July 4th American Flag Summer Maxi Dress

I like the muted colors, but this dress is huge. I am 5’6” and 120 lbs. I got their smallest size - small - and as you can see in the photo, I’m swimming in it. I didn’t want it fitted by any means, but the neckline is droopy, and the arm holes are so big you can see the entire side of my bra.It’s also a little shorter than I would have liked. It’s about 5 inches off the ground when I’m barefoot.This is being returned for sure.

Awesome dress, comfortable, patriotic I got several compliments on it!

I am 5'3" and 145lbs. I ordered a Medium. The dress fits and grazes the floor -- shoes bring it up off the ground. The style is great. I do have two annoyances, however. The piping (? not sure what you call it) around the armhole was sewn poorly and sticks out and away from the body. Imagine an arm hole that has 3/4 inch wings all the way around. It is very unbecoming under the arms. I will do some sewing to correct it. The 2nd is something I cannot fix -- it's the material. This is the first time I have encountered scratchy fabric. The dress is 95% polyester/5% spandex. Within a minute of putting it on, I feel sharp pricks all over (I'll call it scratchy because it is not cutting my skin). Oh well. Maybe I will put on a tank top underneath and see if that fixes it. And yes, I did wash the dress first according to directions. The scratchiness was before and after washing -- my guess is it has something to do with the spandex.

I get lots of compliments on this dress. It's a delightful design. It's cool and comfortable. Fit: I bought the medium. I am 5'8", 135 lbs, 37-30-40, and it is just right. Length is above ankle. Care: Label said dry clean, but I washed in cold water & dried flat, and it turned out perfectly. Details: The binding at the underarms was too loose on me, and stuck out a little (as in, armholes were too big). A few little tucks, hand-stitched, solved this problem for me.
