Works as expected, but doesn't like my long hair.
This cute vacuum works really well. It does get full about 3 times per cleaning session. But I only run it when I am home. Unfortunately it is not compatible with the empty tower so I will have to shop more carefully when I purchase my next one. My hair is long below my bra strap and I have to pull the hair out of the sweeper arms and the wheels. Other than that this little guy does an amazing job of getting all of the sand and dirt as well as dog and cat hair off the floor. I am impressed with this as it is my first robot vacuum. It has taught me that I need to look for other options when I shop for the next one. Like it does not allow me to send it to a certain location to clean. It just does it all on its own and sometimes when the dog bed is in the way it never makes it into the living room. I have mostly hard flooring and the living room has a rug. It has zero issues with getting into and off of the rugs. I like it so far but when I upgrade I will be looking into better options for sending it to certain locations to clean as well as being able to empty itself.

Great after a year
Great and half the price of the newer robots. Can use app for this product. Dog hates it. Cleans very well. Loud, so probably should take a walk while it runs.

Roomba proof your place first
I like this lil thing. It’s cut way down on the amount of sweeping and vacuuming I have to do. You still need to sweep corners and under lower furniture.Things to consider:It has a voracious appetite for thinner electric cords. It mostly navigates by bashing into stuff so lighter things like floor lamps can be an issue. It will follow you aroundIt does well picking up the fluff from our two short hair dogs.It is LOUD. Can’t run it at night.Sometimes it gets stuck in the most curious places.I highly recommend getting the clean base unless you’re at home and can empty the dust bin every 15 - 20 minutes. All in all I like it.

Wonderful little machine...
This little i2 (Hal) is my first foray into robot vacuums and I purchased it on the recommendation of a friend who has owned a number of different brands/models, including this one. I live in a 2 BD/2 BA condo with hardwoods and carpet. I regularly swept and vacuumed my place but would always turn around and see a dust bunny or clump of cat hair that blew out of some corner which bothered me and incentivized me to get a Roomba.Going on a month with Hal cleaning 3X a week, I have to say that I'm rather impressed with it. I was a bit worried during the first weeks when Hal was returning to his docking station 3 or 4 times during his runs to let me know he needed to be emptied. I was beginning to think that I was going to be catering to this device constantly and rethinking my decision to buy him. Turns out that even though I try to keep the place clean, Hal is regularly cleaning in places I never regularly attended to myself like way back underneath beds, under dressers and the like. Hal got me caught up on cleaning there. Now Hal needs to be emptied maybe 1.5 times on an average run, something I can live with.Hal does some things wonderfully like map out you living space and making sure to hit each and every corner and under every piece of furniture he can. On the downside, Hal does have issues getting stuck after running up the legs/base of my Barcelona chairs and will go all catawumpus until I go and put him back on a level surface. He doesn't the gradual upward slope of the legs. This happens on low bases of things like floor stand fans too. Hal seems to like to pull at the fringe ends of my Persian carpets too so these get shaken off and put up on an ottoman on days that Hal runs.Overall, I have to say that I'm pleased I bought Hal and feel that the rubber brushes do a dynamite job of picking up hair and detritus from both hardwoods and carpet. Especially carpet. I did have to make sure that charging cords, routers, carpets with fringes are tucked away, relocated or picked but this has helped me to make tidy up things too. If you're on the fence about getting one of these, I'd urge you to go ahead and get it. Ultimately it helps immensely in both maintaining a cleaner home and forcing you to declutter.Update: Several months in, Hal's dirt cannister is ~2/3 full after a complete run of my home. All in all, Hal was a good purchase and I think he'll last a good while.

Not awesome
I purchased this product a little over a month ago. That said, I bought it when buying a new house. I didn't have wifi when it arrived so I was unable to hook it up right away. Previously, I had an offbrand robot vacuum because of my dogs, and dog hair, wondering if a robot would be able to keep up., and not wanting to spend a lot of cash to find out. It did just fine, though it had no smart capability and just went where ever it wanted to. So, now that I know an offbrand can keep up, I wanted one that would be a bit more organized in it's cleaning habits. I run this guy every day, 7 days a week. The first couple of weeks it did okay. Nothing to write home about but not awful. Then, the sweeping brush on the side stopped working. I thought maybe he'd damaged himself running into a wall. I bought some replacement brushes, it still doesn't work. I reached out to the company via the app and have received no response as of yet. Today while he was running, I noticed a squeaking noise while it was turning. I emptied the bin, removed the wheel, cleared any dust or hair. I set him back down and he ran for about an hour then I noticed an odd grinding type sound. I took him apart, removed al the pieces that were not part of the computer "brain" dusted it, put it back together. Though there wasn't much in the way of dog hair in side of him, the disassembly and reassembly seemed to work with the grinding noise, even though I could not determine the reason it was happening. However, he's squeaky and the side brush still does not work. Also the bin sensors are way too sensitive. I have dogs, two of them. One is rather fluffy, the other is a low shedder. Anyway, the bin will be 1/3 full and I'll get an error telling me to empty. That said, he'll run for about 45 mins until I get a full bin alert. I've since turned this option off, and empty it when his battery dies. additionally, I think it should be noted, the areas he's cleaning are 80% vinyl or wood floors. There is no hair getting trapped in carpet to make him work harder.Overall, I'm disappointed in it just not working properly with the side brush, and the squeak on his turns is pretty annoying. Luckily, I'm not usually home when it's running.

Returns to charger by itself!
We've had Roombas since they first came out, but our models have always been the ones you have to locate and return to the charger yourself. As we've got older, getting down on the floor to retrieve a Roomba with a broom from under the middle of the bed has lost its fun element. We love the way this newer model returnes to its base to recharge as needed and then resumes its cleaning program where it left off. Does a really good clean, too, getting all the cat hair and dust. The four Virtual Walls we already had with the old Roombas work just as well with the new one. We have two of this new model and can'trecommend it highly enough.
