To improve brightness drill through sight and replace optical rod with better quality product
To get the most light the muzzle end of the rod needs to be open to light, drill through the sight with the correct size bit. Use a lighter to melt the end of the new rod to the correct diameter, cut the rod slightly oversize to the sight and melt the exposed end of the rod after inserting it in the sight. I used a pack of Tru Glow rods I bought years ago and It took about five minutes. You can buy rods from Amazon, make sure you get the correct size. I already had some rods ,for the money and a small amount of time, good value. The pictures were taken with the slide off the firearm.

Either, don't buy, or take out the fiber optic and figure out a way to glue it in place. Me personally, I'm just going to buy something better. It's not worth the hassle when it's supposed to come without any issues.
