I got the Garmin Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar (47mm) for the touchscreen, GPS and maps because I do a lot of hiking/trail walk/running. I absolutely love the watch, the look, the feel, durability, and tech. It does just about anything you could ask of a smartwatch. It's brilliant and the Garmin apps on my phone connected are fantastic. I love the quick connect watch bands that are easy to change for different styles. I have the issued black silicon, and I purchased a brown leather one and a green Velcro canvas one on Amazon.The ONLY thing I do not like about this unit is thescreen brightness. Outdoors, I have had to turn up the level to 100%, turn off battery saver, change the watch face to a white screen, just to be able to see the dial and info. I think the fact that it's Solar is the issue, and I thought the solar charging affect would come in handy but really, with a battery life of 21 days, and the solar charging only adding a few hours onto the battery life, is it really necessary?I have ordered a Garmin Forerunner 965 with an amoled screen, and I'm going to compare the two. Basically, they both have the same functions, but from my understanding, the amoled screen is brighter and more vivid. We will see....
