This light is way under powered. I hate leaving bad reviews but this light is not even close to a "1,000 watt" equivalent HID. This light is closer to MAYBE a 300 watt HID.My small plants did respond well to this light, but it's way too weak to penetrate the canopy. I would use this light to veg a few small plants but not for flower. I work too hard in the garden to waste my time with under powered lights.Another issue was the 3rd prong on the plug literally popped off and was stuck into my outlet after unplugging it for the first time. That wasn't fun.I think 3 stars is generous. But if you are growing a few really small plants and are on a tight budget, this light would probably make you happy. If you expect this light to flower a big plant, you'll be very disappointed.

Enough said, 100$ for even just the COB case is worth worth worth it.This light should be used for flowering, while it can be used for veg it is not optimal.The flowers produced under this light have an extremely high potency but seem to have a low density although this may be dependent on the strain in question.Update: 10/25/2017--Disclaimer--This is my own personal routine for using this light, other people may go another route.I have used this light for pure veg and flower, the flower under this light is lacking in density as growth can only occur in a meaningful way during the last 3 weeks of plant life, when it is actually use a predominantly red spectrum.For Veg, I use an all blue model (Meizhi 600W 2x).For the first 5 weeks of flower, I use the Meizhi 600Wx2, then for the final 3-5 weeks of flower (dependent on strain) I use this far-red unit.In an ideal world you would use both a blue-spectrum dominant light AND this unit during flowering, but a switch-off like this will allow the plant to build the proper structure that it needs this red-light to take advantage of.

I bought this light and it has been really nice. I even bought another one. Unfortunately though one of the panels has gone out now. And compared to my most recent (exact same light) the original is not nearly as bright. I don’t feel like the light should have degraded this quickly. Or maybe I got a bad one. So I do not feel like it deserves a 5 star rating for such an expensive light that does not work fully after a few months.

I gave it 4 stars because technically I'm not sure what the lamp watt equivalent is? No where on the light or in the paperwork or even the billing is there any mention of watt equivalent. I think i ordered 1100 watt ? I will let you know the yeild come harvest but I will only grow one plant under this light at a time. It is very compact light and easy to use I have high hopes for this value priced light

Lights are good, mine seem to work ok for veg and flower. Only complaint is the price keeps going up everytime someone buys one. Super frustrating. Sure they maybe worth 90-100. But 120-140 for a Chinese light with less life than an HID? I have to replace every year they only last 8-12 months before they go too dim or cob's burn out. So I will be buying from a vendor that keeps his price more stable.

red and blue cobs on this are worthless by themselves. I tried several different times and the only thing that works is by mixing another spectrum of light in. I voided my warranty by removing 3 of the original cobs and adding cree cobs. inside there are 5 50watt drivers, 1 for each cob. separate driver for 2 loud af fans. value is good if you don't mind extra work. add 3 cree cxb3590's and off you go.

It was a great addition to my grow until one of the COBs burnt out. I've had it for approx 7 months.Now 3 of the COBs have burned out within another few weeks. the rating is dropping by the minute. i now have a useless metal casing with 1 working COB light on it.After a couple weeks i've yet to hear back from anyone about this

I gave this light four stars because it's heavy in reds/pinks would like a little more white light. And there is something loose and rattling inside sounds like a loose screw inside it hasn't affected it's performance so I haven't bothered with the rattle however at the end of the month when I harvest I will open the case to find the rattle just had to get it hung amd working when it arrived was packaged well and discreet
