Not really 12v 50a
Build quality seemed good, nice and solid. I tested it at different current draws and immediately saw a problem with the voltage. With nothing connected the power supply was set to 12.05v. When drawing current from it the voltage is not steady at 12v. Here is what I saw:25.16a - 11.31v33.42a - 11.10v37.36a - 11.06vI did not adjust the base voltage up to get it to 12v when drawing current, I expect a 12v power supply to deliver 12v (or very near it).The other issue is that at 37a the power supply started getting quite hot. The case is designed with a monolithic aluminum plate on the side to be connected to something to draw the heat away. When run by itself I was reading temperatures of 65c and up on that plate, even with the internal fan going. The air being pushed out by that fan was not that hot so I can only assume that this power supply requires to be mounted to something large and metal in order to operate correctly.I did not try to push it past 40a since I did not trust it at that point.

Very Noisy on amateur radio and CB radio equipment
The two 12 volts, 600 watts 50 amp power supply we purchased are nicely made. Delivery was fast. However, when used on receiving equipment such as a amateur HF radio and CB radios, noise is a serious issue. Receivers have so much static generated by the power supply that it makes them unusable for reception. We also had them on solid state linear amplifiers with same results. Massive static generated to nearby radios on reception. Otherwise these power supplies are good for high amperage requirement for everything else.

Super fast delivery. better built power supply than others.
This power supply seems better built. I have not had time to load test, but basic voltage testing, regulation, and scope indicated it was acceptable. I was only bench testing at this point, but it looks good enough to put into service. When it goes into service, its going to be worked pretty hard at %80 rated load. We shall see what happens. I do know the other power supplies i have tried, usually die pretty early. With this power supply, the case is almost %200 bigger, fan runs all the time (which is perfect for me as it runs only 1 - 2 hours at a time) , so just maybe it will be pretty good.I was super happy to receive this so quickly, and am looking forward to installing it....

No ON/OFF switch (assembled my own single gang unit) to power a 415W (peak) car sub amp
Obviously outputs a current far beyond any lethal threshold.Note: when the power supply is switched OFF/unplugged, its power indicator LED slowly drains (instead of turning instantly off).Works perfectly to power a 415W (peak) car subwoofer amplifier.Be safe. Can't say much else.

Works even better after modding it
Works as expected. I knew the tiny 3500 rpm fan would be too loud for me. So I removed it and installed a 120mm Gentle Typhoon 2150 rpm fan on top instead. It provides twice the static pressure and 4x more cfm or air and it's nearly silent too. Now this little psu is purrrrfect. Will provide pics on my mod at a later time.
