excellent value for ham radio
excellent value... i scored a 3-Jackson unit from MC a couple weeks ago, which fortunately had the available m.2 slot... cracked open the case, removed the useless (to me) LTE card, then popped in a dogfish 128gb sata 2242 card - voila! the craptop was configured as a dual-boot Xubuntu-msft boxen... wifi driver via github for the rtl8723du works great...then i purchased one here just two days ago... the description read 'LTE capable," so it is a no-brainer that if the driver drops off a box that does not have an IME barcode on the outside, you can return unopened as it does not have an m.2 slot (there are at least three variants of these craptops on the market)....anyhoo, i lucked out, and snagged a second one here for only a Jackson more than the original MC offering... i'll be putting in a 256GB dogfish SATA 2242 card and wiping off that insidious msft junk right off the main mcblock... this craptop works great as a GNU/Linux boxen, good 10-hr runtime, and for us ham radio operators, a very nice platform using Andy's Xubuntu 25 distro for logging, FT8, etc... also, as a bonus, it runs off 12V!hint: btw, to easily install Andy's ham distro, be sure to read the readme.first doc... basically, don't do a direct install, install from the live session, then continue testing and follow a short chroot script to create a user, password, then delete the default user and home directory... complaints by nummies regarding the inability to log in after an install are from those n00bs who don't read the docs first

Nice little affordable laptop for my ham shack
I am happy with this device. My previous ASUS only had 32 GB and i ran out of space and couldn’t keep it running so i bought this. So far it runs as advertised. I wish the keyboard was a little bigger and i bought an inexpensive tiny USB mouse to use with it. I use it for digital comms on amateur radio. It’s lightweight small size enables me to easily move around to various locations.

Nice little 12 volt computer
So far several members of the ham radio club I belong to have purchased this computer. It seems to work fine for what it is, and no one has had any problems with their computers (yet) as far as I know. I have used mine several times on remote sites or at meetings and it works fine for basic computer use. Mine fortunately came with the cell phone sim card adapter, which I removed and replaced with a 128 GB MMC hard drive, and I also installed a 64 GB mini SD card, so I have plenty of memory. I uninstalled all the Office apps and loaded a copy of Libre Office and a number of RT Systems radio programming apps, CHIRP and other ham software and everything seems to be working fine.If you want to build a 12 volt charging cable, this connector fits the power socket perfectly:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0851CG97T?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Fragile and Undependable
I bought this laptop about 18 months ago. I used it mainly for ham radio so it was used 2 or 3 times a month. I always kept it indoors in a well-padded laptop case. Used it last week and it was slow but it worked. Battery life is terrible and the laptop would have a dead battery after sitting unused for two weeks. (I always powered it down.) Today I wasn't able to sign in even though I knew I was using the correct password. When I tried to reset the password I discovered why: the keyboard is no longer working properly. Press the letter "O" and the number 6 appears. Press a different letter key and a different number appears. Other keys do nothing at all. I had to use a separate Bluetooth keyboard to log in to wipe the hard drive.Although performance is poor, I liked this laptop because it could run on 12v. But it failed at the worst possible time causing me to have wasted a 160-mile drive. These are poorly made and undependable and will fail when you need them. No wonder they are sold so inexpensively! Unless you need an expensive doorstop, do not waste your money on this product.

Seems adequate
I bought this for portable Ham radio logging and use. I loaded all of my logging software on it easily, and feel it should work quite nicely. I bought it due to recommendations from other ham radio operators. Mostly for its 12v charging. I hope I will be equally satisfied.

Wow!
I was skeptical, but OMG… PERFECT! Seriously… it’s a great fast PC that comes all ready to go with Microsoft operating system, plenty of memory, processing speed for everyday use, take on vacations, flights. Certainly perfect for students older adults. (But not for gamers…). But for under over $140, including software… Wow!As a amateur radio enthusiast it means all our digital modes needs, mapping, auto logging,… plus it has a very unique special feature for anyone also into camping, sailing, RVing because it is designed to operate with internal 12vdc internal and/ or any external 12vdc source like car/ boat, RV, emergency car or home LiOn battery!

Cheeeeeeap but works good
Bought for amateur radio use, it's cheaply made (but so is the price) and has pretty terrible battery life, but I run it off of my batteries via powerpole so it's fine for what I'm using it for.
