Glycolic Acid is a superficial peeling agent that is made from sugar cane. It is often considered the most active and beneficial of the Alpha-Hydroxy-Acids (AHA).With repetitive and continuous use, improvement to skin tone and texture occurs.Once inside the skin's cell, glycolic acid will serve as a catalyst for the formation of new collagen which will reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the skin's surface.Glycolic acid has been proven to be very effective in the treatment of hyperpigmentation, melasma, actinic keratosis, acne, and oily skin, as well as other cosmetic uses.Choosing the Best Peel: Skin Laboratory offers different types of chemical peels to help with things like exfoliating the skin and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. Gradual, Works good
Works good as one option to address issues in the gradual, controlled manner. I have to leave current bottle on for 4-8 mins at least (depend on thickness of skin at time, sensitivity, preparation but i never start that high first times) with multiple layers during that time to get good results but everyone body is different, everyone use frequencies are different (more often use usually mean less time needed) and every bottle purity may be different (label says start with 1 min and work up to 4 min so I use caution). Less is best, so I slowly try to find the least amount of time needed to leave on to get good result without leaving on too long (start with test in inconspicuous place). After rinsing off it works slowly after use and takes body sometimes at least a week to slowly and subtly work microscopically to smoothen and reveal full result. If it hasn't been done in a while might take several, gradual uses (with at least 7-10 days between) to cut through damaged outer layers to see good result. It is definitely not a one shot, massively intense solution. Other solutions seem to be used for that. This operates more gradually and subtly with slightly improved noticeability after each use. This is review of my experience. On products like this that can effect body always remember don't take review as advice.

so it's harder to get out of the bottle but it stays in place better because of it
We purchased this after paying $80 per professional peel. It has worked well, I can feel the burn! It's very thick, more so than others I've tried, so it's harder to get out of the bottle but it stays in place better because of it. This is the 2nd or 3rd bottle I've purchased and it continues to work the same. The last bottle I had for a much longer time and seems to have lost some of it's strength but I could have contaminated it or just left it out too long. I would still buy again.Compared to the professional peel, I like how it works but I don't think it's as strong. I don't know what my lady used, it's probably different, but I would stay for the price this is still worth it.

great peel!
I had to wait a bit to review while using this product. I have been using this peel once a week for a couple months and it is awesome! My colouring is more even, pores smaller and it has definitely improved the texture of my skin. For years I had a wee hole on my cheek, from what I do not know. I have noticed it is completely gone now. You can feel it working it's magic so have a fan close by and tough it out. Rinse with plenty of cool water. I have been applying a cortisone gel afterwards that I had got from a spa where I had a series of 6 very expensive peels done. The redness is gone soon. I use a light weight cream and plenty of sunscreen afterwards. Love it!!!!! BTW, I am 52 years old and thought I looked great before but this peel really improved upon that 100%.

Skin Laboratory has the ultimate best effective chemical peels!
I have oily skin mostly in my T-zone. I first tried out Thanks for your review of Salicylic Acid 20% Gel Peel and have been using that religiously ever since 2011. I shortly bought the Glycolic Acid 50% Gel Peel in 2011 as well. This is a Level 4. So as indicated I built my tolerance ont eh Salicylilc Acid (Level 2) before I could go to Level 4.I always research before use/purchase and during use on all my products. These chemical peels are by far the best effective and do exactly what they are intended to do.My Skin Regimen: Glycolic Acid 50% Gel PeelI used it weekly as indicated and now I use it on occassion as it is strong yet effective.Read it's info and levels at their website: https://www.skinlaboratory.com/

Can't beat the pharmacoeconomics
The effect, for the time/trouble/price is very good. If you have paid for the treatment at a salon or spa, you know what I mean. If you haven't tried Glycolic Acid at a professional concentration, you are in for a pleasant surprise. Use as directed, be careful of lips and eyes, WEAR SUNSCREEN, moisturize and eat right and you will see an improvement in you skin, from wrinkles to breakouts. Don't use on open breakouts, it will fry the edges of the skin. If you are new to skin care, or you have dry skin, you might want to dilute it. If you are new to it and have oily skin, don't wash your face first, the oil will help dilute it. Be gentle with your skin for 24 hrs after, no picking or pressing, this can leave broken vessels/red splotches. However, I use mineral makeup after with no problems.

Glycolic Acid 50% Gel Peel
Even though the product says "Peel", it does NOT, actually, make you peel, however, it does make a major difference in your skin's skin tone and touch. I have tried, virtually, everything from a department store to a mall kiosk expensive face products, but this one (who I heard about from my dermotologist), combined with a sunscreen will make an absolute noticable difference in your skin when used once a week. Glycolic Acid 50% may be a little high for some people with sensitive skin, however, those who have received regular treatments of other types may find this to be just right. It will sting, slightly, when applied during the first 5 minutes or so that it is left on your skin before it is washed off. It has found a permanent place on my shelf!

Bottle did not have expiration date on it, as ...
Bottle did not have expiration date on it, as it normally does. I'm not sure if it is the strength it should be. Seems to be working as well as it normally does. Long-term, regular use of this product does wonders for your skin. I'm 50 and people say I look early 40's.

I would definitely recommend trying this product
I have only used it a couple of times but I can tell that my skin feels smoother and softer. The darker skin areas have also lightened some. I think with repeated use they will hardly be noticeable but only time will tell. I will likely order the 70% peel after I use all of this one. I would definitely recommend trying this product.
