Our big puppies Alaskan Malamute puppy and Great Pyrenees love it, I mix it with raw beef and elk/bison organ meat and they are healthy and full of energy.

Dr Harvey’s was recommended to us by a veterinarian specializing in senior canine care. Our elderly dog stopped eating even though she had tested negative for any illness or disease. Dogs entering dementia sometimes lose interest in eating as was the case with our dog.I also learned that most commercial dog kibbles are cooked at such high temperatures that not only do nutrients have to be added but carcinogens result.We adopted a 2 year old dog who LOVES this food. Hope she lives until at least 14 too!

I liked the idea right from the start, so I ordered this interesting dog food...and it is interesting.It's also chock full of the good stuff for your hounds.I swear I have seen something similarly served at a family holiday dinner when I was six years old...could have just been spinach with vinegar (yech). This looks just fine now that I'm no longer six.Dogs LOVE it...gone like the wind food.One thing though...I feel the weight to food/water ratio is way off when it gets to the heavier pooches.My first batch was a soup...I added more dry...feeling that it couldn't possibly be correct...took quite a bit more.For some reason the ration of dry to water changes in a large way as the weight goes up...if you follow the directions...you'll get...soup.I went back to the smaller weights ratios...1:1...and it came out just right.So in any case start with less water as you mix...don't just add the water in all at once...like making a batter...you'll know when.The other small niggle is...and it's not really a hit...but this takes time to prepare...at least 12 minutes.My dogs can eat half a dozen dinners in 12 minutes (get back!).Another big positive is it's ability to be an emergency food...or just a portable concentrated food that is really good for your dogs.It's also a great everyday food...if you have 12 minutes to spare.Thumbs up!!!

This food does not appear to have enough meat for me to consider it a complete meal as I had hoped. Therefore it is used as a base and fresh meat is added.

The first thing I noticed, when using Dr. Harvey’s, was it it smelled like something you would want to eat. The smell helps you to notice the cranberries, carrots, and other goodies. My Great Dane absolutely positively hates kibble, but with this is a topper he will eat it. (Sidebar: being the generous person that I am, I put about a tablespoon full in a dish knowing my ex would eat it w/o asking. He thought it was delicious.)His coat is shiny and healthy, (the Great Dane, not my ex), he does not have terrible gas, and he enjoys the taste. I just wish it were more reasonable, cost wise, for large dogs. If you have a small dog, this absolutely should be your go to food.

My dog loves this food. He is normally a bit picky, but not with this one! No stomach upset when switching over. I am very pleased

Easy to prepare. You can see the pieces of real veggies and beef once it’s rehydrated. No fuss and can make it ahead. Worth the price for healthy meals!!

Very easy to use product, I mix it in with my dogs wet food. My two dogs love the taste of this and beg for more! It’s cool that this makes a lot of dog food but this is not a value product. In my opinion you are paying for high quality ingredients and health for your dogs.
