The screw-type suction cup is the best hold of the various types. The problem is that it requires a PERFECTLY smooth surface. I previously bought BINO brand and they hold perfectly on my one piece shower stall and my 6"square ceramic tiles. However, I wanted to use this in my kitchen stainless steel sink and it simply will not work.

I held off on writing a review of this to make sure it didn't fall off after a month. This baby won't budge! No more sliding down the sink or one side falling down. I love this, its so sturdy and seriously won't budge. Ive accidentally whacked it a few times with a pot or pan, and it just states where it is. I admit I had a little trouble figuring out how to install it, the instructions weren't that helpful and so tiny, but once I put my glasses on, I realized what I was doing wrong!

There's a trick to making this work. You have to increase the torque you use to turn the knob to tighten the suction. I did this by crumpling a couple of paper towels around the knob to increase its diameter. With the knob tightened with force, the suction has stuck on the side of my stainless steel kitchen sink since I applied two of these soap holders three months ago. I made sure the surface of the wall of the sink was free of grime. Without this trick, one of the two failed in a day.

Installation instructions are “ikea-like” but I had no problems getting it to stick to my farmhouse style sink. Time will tell how well it holds up.

Really like this product just a little hard to install and keep on.

Unfortunate as I love the style but this will not stick to the inside of my stainless steel sink or to the ceramic backsplash.
