BTMB Copper Threshold Dust Proof Strike 25mm/0.98" Diameter (Thread Contour) 1 Pair

Used these in a 1/2” diameter cane bolt that is 12” long and typically use a 5/8” diameter cane bolt that is 24” long. It’s a pretty considerable weight difference and much to our surprise the spring on this dustproof strike is too strong to let the cane bolt drop in. Funny enough it hits and bounces right out of the hole every time. We added a 1lb bushing to the gate and it still pushes the bolt out! If it weren’t for living in an area with 20-30mph gust winds I wouldn’t worry to much. However, I would recommend that the spring have an easier compression rate to facilitate the typical 1/2” cane bolt being dropped into it!
