Universal 4-Cylinder Carburetor Synchronizer for Motorcycle, Carb Balancer Synchronization Gauge

I ordered this meter and it was broke, so I returned it and had a second one sent. It also was broke but worse than the 1st. At least the 75% of the 1st one worked. This time I opened it to find out what was rattling. This is what I found in picture. No worries I fixed this brand new out of the box. Works great now. 👎

Case was nice, but I didn't buy the tool for the case.Regarding the tool itself: stainless steel rods are not polished for smooth travel, in fact they look dirty. After use I found first readings were OK but bit low. Then when I put in their restrictors (per the instructions) the readings almost halved so are completely inaccurate. VERY UNHAPPY WITH PURCHASE

This is what my husband had to say:These are much better than the gauge sets out there. They make setting the carbs so much easier and have all the attachments you'll need to do the job right. Made the sync fast and easy and didn't stress my air cooled motor by making it run in a stationary position. I did use fans but I was done in less than 10 minutes. I used those dial gauges in the past and had to spend more time fiddling with them. These, once set up correctly, made the job easy. I would recommend them over the cheaper sets.

This is a big honking, spin on what I believe was often called a manometer.Vacuum acted on a column of mercury to give relative readings.These folks have replaced the mercury with stainless steeel rods.Same principle though the vacuum acts on the rods in thier respective tubes.The unit comes in a nice case, has a hanging notch on the back and has 4 hoses, some adapters and 4 small short hoses.I always aim to review items only after I have used them but I have been so slammed with work, I have had not had a chance to timker with the bike, (2cyl).I am rating the item based on overall build impression and the fact that it is such a simple device.Once I actually use it I will update and if necessary adjust the review.If using it I would first determine if all the 4 columns are identically calibrated, by exposing each individually to the same vacuum source. Once you knew thay all behave the same then I would proceed to use them to do settings. After that it would be a matter of dealing with all the fiddling and fussing of carb and throttle adjustment.

It works great but you need tonmake sure it is actually hanging completely vertically since it is a weight based gauge.
