In order to use this, you are supposed to dissolve it in a cup and then pour it into the soap dispenser and leave it overnight. This is a different approach than I've seen for any other washing machine cleaner, which is typically throw the tablet in and run a clean cycle.After following the instructions and leaving it overnight, I didn't visually see any difference in my LG washer (which has a stainless tub and is about 8 years old). That being said, I typically run Affresh monthly, so I don't think there was a large buildup of anything to have been removed (I'm a bit OCD about washing my cloths in a dirty washer if you can't tell!).I'll probably purchase this again since it clearly has a different approach to cleaning the washer. What I plan to do is alternate between Affresh and this Electrolux PureAdvantage every month.I also clean the filter on my washer once a month and with this product vs Affresh, I did not notice any more/less gunk in the filter.

We typically use affresh cleaner as recommended by the manufacturer. Since these are from reputed brand and most washers are actually made by Electrolux we gave this a try. It comes as a solid tablet that is porous and will dissolve in water but requires around 15- 20 min, by fizzing out (see picture attached). Once the tablet dissolves it needs to be added in to soap dispenser and left it overnight. We washed the washer in rinse cycle in the morning and we can tell noticeable difference in the odor. It cost around 2 bucks a tablet which is comparable to the main brands, product claims to work for a month or so, we will update if I notice odor less than that. Currently I keep 5 star rating since we observed real difference and worked in removing odor successfully.

These tablets do their job, they cleaned my washer as expected and gave it a good smell. My washer is not Electrolux but LG and has a special cleaning cycle, can't tell how it will work for a washer with no special cleaning cycleUsing them is not as simple as throwing them into the washer, selecting the appropriate cycle and turning it on, as many of other cleaning tablets in the market work. These tablets needs to be dissolved first, and then mixed with water inside the washer, an extra step which I'm not sure what it wants to accomplish as the tablet will dissolve anyway during the washing cycle.In terms of pricing, they are a bit on the high-end. I have used other cleaning tablets and liquids with overall the same results. Not sure they are worth the premium, unless you have an Electrolux washer and want to keep it "original"

Our washer is not but a couple of years old, a Samsung and I actually hadn't used a cleaner on it before this so I don't have a lot to compare it to unfortunately. However, I knew it needed to be cleaned and this is so easy to pop in, turn on and forget about. If you do it overnight then once you wake up your washer is clean, fresh and ready to go. Mine seemed brand new and it leaves a really nice floral scent. No chemical residue. Plenty in this pack to last a long time too. I really like it and will continue to use.

For the past year the tablets we receive do not dissolve completely, as if they have expired or are being manufactured incorrectly.

My order would not disolve so it could not be used. I had to throw it away and order it from Electrolux directly.

I love them!I use the machine to clean my dogs beds, blankets, toys and all their stuff so after that I use one of these cubes to clean the machine.My washer has the “clean” button so I just throw the cube inside and select the mode.After that the machine has a really fresh and clean scent. Ready to use with our clothes.Recommended.

Electrolux PureAdvantage Probiotic Washer Cleaner 6 Tablets, WhiteThis is the second brand of washing machine cleaner I've tried and I found it both more time consuming and less effective... It is very easy to use, but you have to leave the washing machine closed for a minimum of 6 hours and a preferred overnight, according to the instructions. It did result in a minor noticeable improvement in the aroma in the washing machine - but nowhere near as much as I was hoping for. The musty stale-water smell was still there, just only noticeable if you stuck your whole head in the washer. With the other brand, the scent was basically gone. It helped, but not with as significant a result as I was hoping to achieve.
