Lovely tranquil ambience
They are perfect for bedside lights. Not so glaringly bright it’s impossible to go to sleep while bright enough for reading. I can’t put my finger on it but there is something a little different about these than the soft lights we’ve used for years. They provide a uniquely relaxing, restful atmosphere. Cannot offer an opinion on the longevity because we haven’t had them long, but will update if there are any unexpected changes. All of my reviews are my own; no affiliation with merchandise or seller.

It works nicely
I use this lightbulb in the living room in the evening and a brand with lower Kelvins in my bedroom. Between the 2 I am getting to sleep an hour or more earlier than before . It’s a great product if you have insomnia and have trouble falling asleep . Turn off any lights with white or blue light around dusk and turn this on. I was sceptical but it really does help. I reviewed the other brand that I use in the bedroom that has lower Kelvins than this one , between the 2 and sticking to the same daily light pattern I’m totally convinced these bulbs are worth having . Enough light to read by but with a soothing color. Very happy I tried these and will continue to use them.

Too bright for bedtime in my opinion
These lightbulbs are quite bright - to be fair, they are described as "late afternoon sun" in the description and I somehow missed that. They WILL keep anyone awake whether or not they want to be...not great if you like to read and your partner wants to sleep, or if you want to keep a baby drowsy while you're feeding/changing, etc.I didn't feel like hassling for a return, so now these bulbs are in our living room table lamps for evening use. It's perfect for there, though I haven't yet noticed a benefit of the blue light reduction they claim. I'm still on the hunt for a dimmer bulb for bedroom use. Hooga makes a 1W version (these are 9W), so that may be the solution without having to buy all-new dimmable lamps.

Relax light feels soothing at night
My spouse and I are in our early 60s, so vision now requires more light. We have a house full of bright white bulbs to help us see in the kitchen, bathroom, etc. We put these Relax bulbs in the family room, where we spend our evenings. When we enter the room, the light feels good. Aaah. Just what we wanted before bedtime. It's slightly harder to read small print than when we had similar light levels of fluorescent bulbs, but it really feels good, and may be helping a tad with sleep. We also wear blue-blocker glasses 1-2 hours before bed. I might put the Relax bulbs everywhere if I were in my 20s. We don't need our light bulbs to stimulate us.

Overpriced, inefficient, and mislabeled
I bought these thinking they would emit less blue light than ordinary LED bulbs. In reality, the package is labeled 2000 K, but the bulbs themselves are 3000 K, which is totally unsuitable for a bedside lamp. At 9 watts for only 600 lumens, they are inefficient compared to modern LEDs, and at $6 a bulb they cost almost twice the going rate. Overall, these are no better than the fluorescent lights they replaced, and significantly worse than other LEDs available on Amazon for half the price.

Nice evening lighting
I was wearing blue light blocking glasses over my regular prescription glasses for far too long. It sucked having two pairs of glasses, one of them super clunky, on my face at the same time :( Enter: low blue-light bulbs. Duh. I didn't love that I bought them for $15 for only two, but we will see how long they last. I turn on my bedroom floor lamp with this bulb in it as dusk is fading away, while I'm tidying up before bed, and for reading right before bed. Often I end up falling asleep while reading, and I have been sleeping much more soundly lately. I also notice it's been easier for me to wake up in the morning, and I feel less groggy. Could be a combination of a few lifestyle changes, but I definitely attribute some of it to these bulbs.

warm, bright, and good bedtime routine
we have been using this for a few weeks now, as the light that is used for child bedtime routine in living room. seems to be helping, as sleepiness sets in much better lately. also, using for my reading light—warm glow is comforting, bright enough to read clearly, but doesn’t feel harsh. so far, great overall. for us, i’d say it is too bright for night light purposes—we use the dimmest setting on one of the Somnilight lamps for child’s bedroom.

disappointed buy at your own risk
i got these lights to help with my uncle who had dementia. He had what is called sundown syndrome, for those who don't know behaviors start around sundown. These lights didn't even last a year and the one made his room smell like smoke. After checking the walls and outlets we checked the lights just to be sure we checked everything before calling for help. the top of the bulb came unglued and the insides overheated.if i could find our pictures of the bulb we would be posting them on this review.
