Q: Light texture on walls, want to use to get mud on wall for final skim coat? (instead of paint roller) Will it work well?

Oh Lord no haha. No it won't work it actually leaves a huge mess. I've had to fix jobs where people tried to do this that's a firm no. Just roll or use a sprayer to spray the mud on like paint and sand it smooth.
