This is my third different attempt at stringing lights around our pergola. My previous two string brands were both solar-powered, which I'd thought would be great because they didn't use any electricity. The first brand's strings completely died after 18 months. The solar-charged batteries were not removable or replaceable, so it required completely new strings (major pain). I attributed that to the brand and ordered a different brand's solar-powered string lights. Those ones lasted 13 months, and also did not have a replaceable battery. Not only did neither of the solar string brands last, but even before they totally crapped out, their bulbs stopped getting as bright as they had when they were new. So I gave up on solar lights and bought these, plug-in lights. I am so thrilled with the look of them; the fact that they always reach full brightness, since they're not powered by a waning battery; and the ability to dim them and set them on a recurring schedule through the app is a freaking amazing bonus. THIS is the way to go, people.

Bought these almost a year ago, installed them around my patio and have left them out year round. I live in the Midwest with Icey rain, snow, sun-zero temps, rain, tornadoes, humidity, 100+ temp, beating sunlight. And these little lights just keep working. Remote is kinda finicky, but I prefer to just hit the button on the power switch as I walk inside or outside. Great value for money. Would recommend

Loved these until 1/3 of them went dim and then stopped working. Contacted them and had a new set 2 days later

These lights are amazing. My neighbors keep complementing me for them. I used them for Diwali and plan to use them for Halloween, thanksgiving and Christmas too. I highly recommend them. The app is also a good way to control them along with the physical remote too. I’ve set up a automation in the app to start and stop the lights from dusk to dawn.

Imagine the most dim lights you've ever seen. What's dimmer than that? These lights.1. These lights were about 3x dimmer than I expected. I put all the work into setting them up outside only to find they're dimmer than a bad flashlight. My nephew's bedside lamp could offer more light.2. They were an unreal hassle to set up. The product came with no screws, hooks, or anchors with which to hang them up. THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS on how to install these lights. There's an instruction manual, for sure, but it doesn't say *anything* about how to install them.3. The remote capability was barely better than no remote at all. For one, they include no indication as to where the remote's receiver is on the light strip, so I have to press the same button repeatedly while pointing the remote at every inch of the light strip in order to get a proper response from it. The controls are unlabled, confusing, and inconsistent in function. They have two buttons you can press to change the light from flash mode or fade mode, but no button to revert the light to its basic, static mode. I had to install the app in order to set the light back to normal because pressing every button on the remote sure didn't help.Obviously I can't return them now (and probably wouldn't because of how much trouble it took setting them up), but I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Please do not waste your money on this product.UPDATE: After a confusing, unhelpful, and rather condescending interaction with customer service, my review stands.

Got about 1000 hours of use from these before about half of the bulbs began to get dim and now no longer work (a little shy of the claimed 25000 hours!). They were decent for our use (strung along a front porch and gazebo) when it worked.

Well constructed...light bulbs are inside a plastic shell so they are not damaged by rain, or wind or snow. We have had all three weather conditions and these lights are as cheering and lovely as ever. Easy to install!

I have several complaints regarding these, but the most frustrating is they only lasted a little over a year (no wonder their warranty is only for a year...). We also noticed the bulbs have water in them, which can't be safe (even though they're rated for outdoor use). They're definitely not as heavy-duty as the description would lead you to believe. This will now be our second set of outdoor lights that haven't lived up to the hype -- they're a pain and time-consuming to hang (since around the pool cage), so it's just really disappointing to be looking for yet another set.
