Spice by Tia Mowry Savory Saffron 10 Piece Cutting Board and Cutlery Set

Went through 2 sets of knives that rust after only two weeks (yes, they're dry before putting the covers on). The cutting boards damage easily, especially for being something specifically meant for cutting.

I think this is already been summed up. I like the way they look, I like that they each have a cover for safety but they are not sharp enough.

It was fine until I washed the knifes on the dishwasher, and now they are all rusty.

If I were to rate this set on looks alone I would give it 5 stars easily, it is adorable and so fun. But let’s face it it has to work well and the different elements of this set each have a few issues. For starters the cuttings boards, though super cute, are a little slick and not altogether flat so they tend to slide (especially on granite) and rock a bit, feeling a bit dangerous as you’re cutting since it feels slippery on the bottom (both sides are finished the same so the “bottom” being whatever side you have down) and your knives skim the surface as you cut rather than that having that stable “bite” you have when cutting into wood or the softer silicone type of cutting board. They are rather hard but still show knife marks quite easily and looked a bit sliced up after just a couple of uses. The knives, also cute and easy to hold, had an issue with how they fit into the sheathes. You have to line the points of the knives up with the top of the opening and then slide it in at a curve or it catches and refuses to go in. And because of this the bigger knives immediately got scratched up. They were fairly sharp, not as sharp as my hubby’s faves but for this price point quite nice and I had no issues with most things I used them on. I do love the look of this set but at least the cutting boards are more for show than function in my opinion.
