So I will be honest. I work in dental (scary I know), and I am a bleaching specialist. A friend of mine asked me about these kinds of systems, specifically this one. I really don't feel like I can give a 100% answer unless I have experience to back it up. I drink lots of coffee and tea, I never whiten my teeth, but for her I'd give it a try. My starting shade is a healthy and normal 2M2, looks off white to white in the tips in natural light and slightly yellowed without direct light transference.First off 35% peroxide is fine, it should also have fluoride for sensitivity, and an LED blue light? Professionally, it is a high frequency ultraviolet light that causes the activation of the ingredients. It will give your gums and tissue a sunburn if your throat is not covered by gauze and your gums and tissue is not covered in vitamin E or a block-out resin. An LED light does nothing to the solution.Having a tube of 35% peroxide is a home whitening system to be used with a bleaching tray and is active for up to 30 minutes, then the user needs to rinse it off, no light needed.The tray that this comes with is not a good thing, it's large and thick. I have a small mouth, the solution could not touch all of my teeth. Holding this in your mouth will hurt your jaw and teeth because it applies pressure, jaws work on a hinge not a straight up and down motion. We hit our back teeth first, so biting on this thing applies strong pressure to the back teeth and then the jaw shifts to allow all teeth to touch. Not good. I really didn't see any change to tooth color the 3 consecutive times I used this, but I was concerned for my TMJ and tooth alignment so I stopped. Jaw issues can be permanent, I don't need to permanently damage my tendons in my jaw for this or anything else. I enjoy a jaw pain free lifestyle.Is the stuff bad? Don't know, I feel like you could use it in a bleaching tray, forego the silicon bite tray it comes with, use or omit the light and see what you get. Or you could ask your dentist for a tube of Opalescence 35% and a bleaching tray. Usually, a tube will cost $20-25 and last a while and a tray might run about the same price if not a little more, but it will be custom to your teeth, more comfortable and the bleaching agent will definitely work. There is a reason one needs a dental license to purchase certain items. I'm going to make myself a bleaching tray and try this stuff again, at my friend's request, and update this review with those findings.

I followed the instructions carefully and tried to limit the gel's contact with my gums, but I still experienced some discomfort during and after the treatment. It's something to consider for those with sensitive teeth.Another slight drawback was the battery life of the LED device. It seemed to drain faster than expected, which required me to recharge it more frequently than I would have liked.

I've tried a few others and didn't get the results I could see. I actually saw results from this one. The mouthpiece is not super comfy but not horrible, either. The taste isn't great but I try hard not to taste it or get it anywhere else in my mouth. Afterward, I do have to wash my mouth out and brush my teeth again, just because I don't want to ingest that stuff.But overall, its pretty decent stuff.

I didn't receive the directions that were supposed to come in the box, so I had to look up a video on YouTube, long story short I accidentally used 3xs as much as I was supposed to, but aside from that, i noticed a pretty rad difference after the first ten minutes. So I did another five minutes because my gums started to feel a little sensitive, and I'm pretty happy! Just make sure you use a half ml for the top and bottom each, or do what I did and use 1.5ml on each😅 maybe that's why it worked so well...? But all in all, I DEFINITELY notice at least five levels difference and totally recommend this product! I wish I got before photos, because dang! I will be keeping these as a regular(ish) self care for sure!Also, the reason I'm not giving five starts is because I'm pretty irritated about no directions, and I didn't want to wait until I sent it back and received another kit, and it was super annoying trying to find a legit directions video, and I accidentally waisted a bunch, due to not having the directions.

The manual contains helpful step-by-step instructions on how to use this product.This product is easy to use and does not leave my mouth dry, like many other whitening products I tried. The tray is designed in a way to prevents most of the whitening gel from making contact with the gums. The light adds an interesting element and is designed with LEDs that wrap around the entire tray. Following all the applications my teeth were about three shades lighter, so it's a pretty good improvement. On the downside, you have to use this product for 30 minutes to get results, so it's quite a lengthy time. But overall, this is a solid whitening product at a good price.

There is no storage case so you will have to get your own container. The piece that fits into your mouth stinks... Like gross rubber. I've washed it several times and it still smells bad. You have to keep it in your mouth for 30 minutes at a time and not get the gel on your gums, which is tricky. The two main active ingredients are both kinds of peroxide so be mindful of that if you have sensitivities.Overall, I think it's a good system to try as a first time user before purchasing something more expensive. This kit has enough gel for one person to do a full treatment. Fitting the mouth piece to the light is a bit finicky. The expiry dating was good at a year from receiving. The end of the syringes could be longer to apply to the mouth piece, but it can be done and they can be resealed with the removable tips. The 30 minutes seems to be a long time when you need to grip this in your mouth and drooling is a bit of a challenge. I noticed a difference at day 6 and took longer compared to the imosty gel refills which my daughter used at the same time with this light, she noticed a difference after 3 days. Once you have this kit, you can get refills for others to use or for you to use again.Although there are some challenges to using this kit, it is similar to the challenges of other kits. I did not have to use the desensitizing gel, so I cannot speak for how well that works.

This is my first time doing a teeth whitening, I was surprised that results could actually be seen after the first use! Very easy to use, put the gel in the mouth tray on both sides, put it in your mouth, turn on the light.I did not have to use the blue desensitizing gel.Safe to use, this is NOT a UV light, it is just a really bright blue LED, so there is no concern about radiation. Studies have showed effectiveness in using the blue light. In practice, what can I say...it really does work towards getting whiter teeth.Note: I have never been able to do 30 minutes as it asks. It's difficult with the buildup of saliva. I've only done 10 minutes each session, but it still helps to whiten my teeth.

The most important thing is that this does work and it does help to whiten your teeth. However, it’s not as drastic as you might think. This kit will help you brighten your teeth by maybe a few shades at most. That’s helpful, but it’s nowhere near the “up to 20 shades whiter” claimed in the description. This isn’t a miracle worker. You can probably get better kits that will give better results but those will also cost more. So I look at this as more of a beginner kit, which is a good fit for me. I’ve never personally used a kit like this before, but I have friends that had great results with similar products.I’ll be honest though. While my teeth are a tiny bit whiter I did not enjoy using this at all. The rubber mouthpiece *stinks*. As another reviewer stated, I’ve washed it before and after every use and it still smells like gross rubber. My mouthpiece also came a bit deformed out of the box because of how it was packaged. I tried to mold it back to shape a bit. Because of that it’s a bit difficult to fit it back on every day.By far my biggest issue with this kit is that it makes me gag really bad. I toughed it out and used it for 30 minutes every day but it was really hard to get through. The combination of the taste, texture, and smell make it really unpleasant. This could just be an issue with me though. It might not have that effect on someone else. That’s why I would still recommend this kit to someone who hasn’t tried blue light treatments before but wants to give it a shot. It also comes with a blue syringe that's meant to help with sensitivity or pain. I didn't need to use it though.
