This M4A1 gel blaster is the bomb! If you want a dependable shooter, this is the one. It shoots straight and hard and that’s just what you want. I personally own seven blasters and this is my go to now. If you are even thinking about this blaster, buy it. It will not disappoint.

Compared to what I expected, having already picked up an MP5 at half the price, I must say I am satisfied.The magazine feeds through the main battery, has two copper contacts that activate on insertion. Holds 200 rounds or so, faster burst than I thought and a light recoil (appreciated).Openable bolt like the real thing, same for gas release button.Only three flaws:- rails system is very weak but easily fixed with some homemade fixes. Watch out for bumps, though!- It has no manual or semi-auto mode, so to release the spring at the end of the game you have to "play" a bit with the trigger to leave it as free as possible to avoid ruining it before time (possible long-term wear and tear, a detail from a fussy former softgunner);- sometimes it fail to feed some bullets.Really good feedback, after all. It really feels like you are holding an assault replica and not just a pellet blender.Recommended!

This blast is good for the price. It is super loud, and tends to jam up on occasion, but we had tons of fun with it!

We got this one along with several others for Christmas so the boys and I can have splat ball fights during the year. Something I was surprised about was that the drum magazine from mine was compatible with this one. That was not true in the other direction however, no idea why. Generally speaking the power was good, and the magazine was fairly easy to load.Since I'm a guy, I definitely have to upgrade things. And this one was super easy to put a three-cell battery in which resulted in much more power. Now with great power comes great responsibility lol, so don't shoot someone else at close range with an upgraded battery. Simply said it will leave a welt!This gun has been pretty much jam-free from day one, but make sure that you use a good quality gel bead in it, because it has so much power it will make them disintegrate on the way to the target as opposed to waiting till it gets to the target. We do occasionally have to clean out the inside of the barrel because some of them come apart since it has a very high firing rate.I suggest that you glue the tip on so your kid can't remove it. It's too easy to twist and remove, then looks like a real gun.Generally speaking I'm very satisfied with this toy. And yes I would recommend it.

It looks super cool. That's where the pros end. It fell apart at least 10 times in about an hour of using it. The battery compartment is a horrible design. The handle will just fall apart randomly. The magazine is way undersized and runs out extremely fast and only shoots about 75% of what's in the magazine. Don't waste your money. It's a very poor design from a functionality standpoint. It has potential because it's pretty powerful and fairly accurate at a decent distance. The battery life seems good.. its certainly not worth its current price point maybe half. Make sure you have a backup because if you're counting on using this alone it won't work very well. I spent about as much time putting it back together and filling up the magazine as I did getting to use it

Wow! This M4 gel blaster is super realistic. It isn't until you feel the weight you know it's not the real Mcoy. For safety, I suggest you glue the orange blast deflector to the barrel. This blaster is a great item to teach kids and adults about firearms safety. My grandson has learned a great deal using gel blasters like this. Nearly everything about this M4 is so real. The magazine holds 200 hydrated gel balls That feed up to the chamber by an electric motor at the bottom of the Magazine. I took apart the mag to see how it was made and worked; I will say you don't try that at home. Some tricky springs and parts will fly out, and it took a while to get them back together again.Ensure you soak the dry gel balls in about one tablespoon to a quart of water for at least four hours. Otherwise, they won't shoot correctly and could jam the blaster. The nice thing about the gel balls is that once fired, they disintegrate. Pulling the cocking lever opens the chamber door and operates the magazine motor to feed the gel balls up to the chamber. Rotate the safety to either semi or auto and shoot away. It is easily one of the best I've tested. My grandson and I played war for over four hours with no issues whatsoever. The price is suitable for the product and will offer hours of entertainment.

The media could not be loaded.  The free Battery’s that came from the box seemed very odd looking brand and looked completely used I recommend buying AAA for the holographic sight.
