Yes it's clear. Also be advised, there is another layer of plastic over the front of the film that needs to be peeled off after installing. Its there to keep it from getting scratch up in the install process.

Q: The tint film uses an adhesive. Can the film be removed later easily without any residue?

I can be. Just apply a little heat to it before removing. Heat gun or a hair drier

Q: Is this just no adhesive it feels like chest vinyl when you peel the plastic don't seem to look like it be able cling to light water?

I don't know what "chest vinyl" is, nor is it important how it feels. I also don't understand why you want it to cling to "light water." It works well, clings to glass surfaces and is easy to trim. It is waterproof, as far as I can tell, as it is designed to go on the outside of automobiles. Please try to make your question more coherent.

Q: how thick is this film? Also, how does it look on tailights? Is it red or pink on the tails?

The film is decent in thickness, I ordered them thinking it was as red as the photo, it's not, it is pink, very pink, and the film is a bit cheap in quality so applying with a light squeezgy the film got extreamly scratched and would rip easy too, I don't recommend another brand with actual photos from users
