I like the all in one
This light was exactly what I was looking for. Have had to prior NiteRider lights over the last 12 years, and both performed very well. The prior lights had separate battery packs. I like the all in one, and with improved battery technology this unit has the same battery life and more lumens than the prior lights I owned. I thought about getting the upgraded model with the digital display, but decided this was more than I needed. I saw some reviews complaining the mount was not great, and that the upgrade mount was better. My road bike has carbon ergo bars with an oval section on either side of the stem, but with a little space to mount a round light bracket right next to the stem. But this is exactly where the cables exit the recessed cable trough heading out to the brake hoods. The rubber strap on mount included mount fit nicely around the cables. The first wet ride, it started to slip a little, so I just tightened the strap to the next hole, which was easier to do with the bars wet. That stopped it from slipping. The only complaint I have is that the instructions were not that clear. The light comes in "lock" mode, and the instructions don't start with an explanation of this or how to get it out of lock mode (although this mentioned elsewhere in a section about how to activate lock mode). On first start-up, you have to depress and hold the "on" button for 6 seconds to take it out of lock mode. After this, each time you depress the button, it advances to a brighter setting. Hold the button for 3 seconds and it goes to a blink setting. Hit it again and it goes to second blink setting, hit it a third time and it goes to a low level hiking setting. Hit it again and it takes you back to the lowest steady beam, and keeps cycling through the steady beam intensities unless you hold it again for 3 seconds to get back to the blink and hike settings. Double click at any time to get to the max lumen setting. Hope this clarifies!

Great Light
I do a lot of riding in the dark because evening hours are when I have the most available time to go on rides. Anyway, long story short is I have 3 of these lights so I never run out of battery power/light.First things first, this light is bright. On the highest setting you will be able to see perfectly even if you are in the woods with absolutely no ambient light. However, you will only get around 45 minutes on the brightest setting before the red indicator light comes on for low battery. At this point you probably have another 15-20 minutes to go for around 1 hour total. If you only have one light and will be riding for more than an hour you should not use the highest setting. The flashing mode is great, but it only has one brightness level and frankly it is too bright for the purpose. I've found even during the day it distracts/blinds oncoming traffic. I have a separate lower end light I use for daylight riding. One thing you must be conscious of is other people and oncoming traffic with this light. It will absolutely blind them on the highest setting. When it comes to oncoming traffic this is not only bad for them, but could be dangerous to you as well since they can't see what they are doing. When I'm riding on a trail, for example, at night and someone is walking towards me I not only set it to the lowest setting but I also swivel the light slightly to the side so it is not shining directly at them. The included mount allows you to easily swivel the light which is a plus for this purpose.Overall this is a great light for night driving.

Great light - long lasting - own a couple. Mount in good,
Love not having cables etc to batteries. I like the light so much I got a second. I ride 26 miles one way when I chose to commute.I also use another light that has an external battery for my helmet as a light only is lighter on my head. 90 minute ride with the niterider on the bright setting and so far lasts just barely the entire way. it's the brightest of the 3 regular settings. it has a superbright setting which is like an overdrive. I could see using it sparingly but obviously time would be cut shorter. The mount is OK. works fine but I've had better. apparently they have a better mount available to buy separately but these will work for now. I haven't taken them mountain biking yet. If they don't stay in place then I may feel the need for a better mount. To clarify, it's a strong rubber band with holes in the center that wraps around the handlebars and then clips into place. You really have to crank it hard to get it tight enough to not slip. Again, it works but I've had better.

Great quality material and secure mounting
All in all bike lights are way overpriced. Nothing we can really do about that as a consumer. But what I will say is that this light is the closest I have had to bring worth the price tag. Nice and bright! Easy and secure attachment. Detaches from mount easily to keep folks from stealing it when you walk away. You’ll have to hold the power button for several seconds, until you see the button change. This will take it from locked mode to unlocked.Overall I am satisfied with this purchase and the metal and quality of materials used feel nice and durable!

Poor Quality does not last
I’ve owned for a while but have not used or recharged this very much. Went to use it this weekend and like other reviews it would turn on with blue light but led doesn’t light up. I opened it up and found that there is a short between the main circuit board and the led circuit board. If you apply side ways pressure on the main board the led lights up.Its out of warranty so will through it away and buy something else. Expensive paperweight.

Awesome little light
This light is amazing! I’m a daily bike commuter and I’ve used my last NiteRider 150 lumen for twelve years. The wire from the battery to the light eventually failed, but the battery and light still work. This 1100 lumen light seriously improves my visibility on dark rainy nights when the lights from oncoming traffic reduces my ability to find my lane boundaries. Now I’m much more easily seen also. It’s easy to install, but I did order the screw clamp attachment for a more secure mount.

Great light, cycle home in the dark no problem.
This was the light I had been searching for! Great illumination, USB charging. Mounting kit decent and removal of light is ready for charging.I have a dark commute home and this light allows me to cycle at full speed.Great product and after trying a few others that were garbage, in happy o have found this. There is a model up from this one but I've been without the extra features it has. The on button turns red when it needs charged but you still have about 30 minutes power left.

The Niterider is working now!
The Niterider is fine now. Have to press the button for 7 seconds to disable to lock. The lock is to prevent accidental pressing of the button during shipping. Should have a sticker on the torch!
