Bought these to use one as a reading light in my daughter's new loft bed, and honestly they are pretty nice. For the price you get 2 full light assemblies with variable levels and even decent length cords. How well will they hold up? Who knows, but I would not hesitate to buy them again. The second one was promptly snatched by the son once he saw how good they were. I'm considering picking up another pair and 3D printing a custom mount for them to use as a nightstand lamp. If I look below it suggests I hit some bullet points: easy to install, magnetic with double sided tape pieces to mount. Easily adjustable light intensity via wired in-line remote. Color, uh, they are white and put out white light. Motion detection - no, they don't do that.

The magnets inside the light make it easy to stick on any metal part of my desk and the included metal stickers make it so I can put it on a wooden part too. The light at its brightest is super bright and works well for illuminating cabinet spaces. The dimmest mode is awesome for lighting a keyboard on a pullout keyboard drawer.

I bought these as I needed extra light for our computer desks above the keyboard drawer so we could see the keyboards clearly when needed (we are not all touch typists, some of us still need to do a little hunting and pecking). These lights are perfect for the job, fastened to the leading edge of the desk's top and allow for adjustment of light level to fit our needs. I particularly liked the slimness of the units and the control unit.The only thing I will say in this application, is that the switch and cable are a little on the heavy side and pulled the light strip off the desk after only a few days. The provided adhesive pads are not able to withstand prolonged lateral forces forcing me to reinforce the mounting with a strip of tape. Probably these mount better when the full size of the pads can be used to secure them and the weight of the cable and switch can be offset by securing them so that they don't pull as much (not something that is easily done in my particular configuration.

I have an up-and-down station for work, and it was hard to see the keyboard especially in the mornings and with the main light behind me. This light was really easy to place and connect, works like a charm and very bright. I don't even need the main light for typing any longer. Very nice.

Put these up where I work and they are very bright. Just what I needed.

I had previously purchased a similar item and needed to add one more. The previous item wasn’t available so I purchased this one. I like being able to mount the metal sticker plates to attach the light bar. What I don’t like is how hot it gets when on. This will be used in a pen for foster kittens and I’m concerned with how much it will raise the temperature. It is bright and dimmable which is great, but on high it gets pretty warm. You can still touch it but holding on to it is hot.

I used this to replace a incadesent light in a display case the holds dart supplies in my local pub. Some times it doubles as a work light as I left some extra cord for just that reason. The best bart is being able to dim the light when live shows are on the stage.Good price and very easy to install.
