Excellent book

I bought this for my husband who says you really need to know what you are doing. It is common with geotechnical engineers to get sloppiness in calculations. He doesn't use the worked examples, as he says he is clever enough to understand the original equations. (He would say that!! very annoying) He likes the fact that both old codes and Euro codes are referred to that gives comparisons. He had already looked through a copy of the book when meeting with a piling contractor so knew what he was buying. He says it has great background information, which lots of people use in their designs, and refer to in submissions. He is very happy with the book.
