Vive Extra Long Handled Shoe Horn (31.5 Inches)

Might be being a bit too honest here but I want to help someone. I have gained a considerable amount of weight and it has become very difficult to put on my shoes and boots. So I thought about a shoehorn, a tall one. After looking at several of them, I chose this one as it looked sturdier than the others. I am so glad I did! It’s a fantastic tool to help you if you have struggles bending over to put on footwear, consider getting this. My prayer for you and me is the need be temporary. If your issue is pain, may He heal your pain. In the meantime, this will help you. My wife wants me to buy another one. 😊

Having had numerous shoe horns during my 70+ years I consider myself somewhat of an expert. This is the most solid, easiest to use I have owned. The leather handle sometimes slides and makes me a liar, but that is an irritation I can fix with a drop of glue if it really bothers me someday. Simple, long and solid. What more do you want?

Several years ago, my husband had a bad accident at work that left him needing to have both hips and both knees replaced. Because of this, he is unable to bend to put on his shoes. He doesn't like asking for help and has used a long shoehorn to help him with his shoes for several years. Recently, his old shoehorn broke at its flexible joint, and he needed a stronger replacement quickly. I found this one at Amazon and was glad that it arrived so fast. My better half is very pleased with this; its extra-long length and sturdiness are perfect, and he finds having the curved end very handy, as he can hang the shoehorn over the back of a nearby chair. This is exactly what he wanted!

The shoe horn is a nicely machined piece of stainless steel. It is strong and works great for putting on your shoes without bending over. I love it with one small defect, the leather grip that slides on the curved handle moves around and will come off. It the manufacturer had taken the small extra step of gluing it in place, I would have given it 5 stars. I applied some multi-surface glue and the problem was solved, but the customer should not have to do this for a $21.00 shoe horn.

Mobility problems (seemingly overnight) have caused me a lot of frustration in getting my shoes on; daily compression socks are something new for me; and I can't get them on by myself. I liked Vive as a quality manufacturer because of two folding canes I've bought. When the company's name popped up in my search for a longer shoehorn, I pounced on this one – much longer than I had expected to buy. It arrived promptly and did not disappoint in terms of its appearance and usefulness. My husband laughed at the length until we tried it out. "Wow." It is very sturdy, has a wonderful leather or leather-like covering on the handle end, and sits very comfortably now in our umbrella stand until tomorrow.

Makes it much easier for my 91 year old grandfather to put his shoes on while standing up. I’ve seen other reviews that said the leather on the handle comes off. As soon as you pick it up you can tell it’s well-made. So we have some glue on hand in case that happens. Would still buy it again.

The Vive Shoe Horn is the one I've been looking for for many years. I've had short ones and medium-length shoehorns, but never one this long or sturdy. The medium-length shoehorns were always weak in strength and the horns would bend or snap at the end of the shaft. The short ones were just that,....short, and sometimes a pain to use with a shoe.This shoehorn is nothing like the previous ones I've used. It is long (almost 32 inches), sturdy, well-made with stainless steel, and a breeze to use. If I am in our closet, I can pull a shoe to me, and slide my foot into the shoe with the assist from the shoehorn. If you want to bend over, then go ahead, but I just prefer to use this shoehorn.The shoehorn also has a leather grip. I've seen other reviews in which the writer indicated the leather grip on their shoehorn was either not glued properly or came loose after a couple of uses. I have not had that experience. The grip is very stable and fits my hand.BOTTOM LINE: I like the shoehorn and it is the best one I've ever owned,...period. I would definitely order this product again.

This shoe horn rocks! I wondered if it would be too long but it's just right. No more bending over to put shoes on. I'm not elderly (yet) but I don't wear shoes in my house so I like to have slip on shoes that I can get on and off easily at the door. This shoe horn is just the ticket. And it is quality with a really nice leather handle. Reviews I read complained about the handle coming off but the company must have fixed that problem because mine is staying on just fine. I recommend this shoe horn. It beats the 4" or so my Dad used way back when.

Very strong steel construction. Good length means I don’t have to bend my back. I’m six foot tall and am comfortable using this. I’ve had plastic and wooden shoe horns previously and they all break eventually.Unfortunately the packaging is ridiculous. The massive box and packaging is totally unnecessary.

Made from steel it is very strong and assists when putting shoes or boots on.I have three, one located wherever there are shoes, front and rear doors and one upstairs.I use mine everyday and they are suitable for both tall and short people.You can take one with you when you travel but due to its length and the fact it is made from steel it may not be suitable.

Got this for my 80 year old dad and he uses it everyday. A nice simple idea thy works.

This shoe horn is really long. Being made of stainless steel, it is virtually unbreakable. It is expensive but a superb aid for anyone who can not bend down.
