Reflective Nylon Cord, Tent Guyline Rope for Camping Tent, Outdoor Packaging

I've used this cord cut to ten inch lengths to make a small loop on my tent stakes, both for ease of pulling and, with the reflective material, reduce the trip hazard at night. It works very well for that purpose. The quality is great and I think the price reasonable. Although I've not used it for optional tie out cords on the tent sides, my opinion is it would work well for that purpose. Another thought I had about the reflective properties is a short piece tied onto whatever might be a hazard in the dark, like any non reflective cords, might be helpful. I do recommend this cord both for quality and usefulness.

For my use as a trail marker while hunting they are super reflective. I use a LED headlamp walking in and out of the woods. If the angle of the light used is below the eyes more than 2 foot it will not reflect back to you. The light source needs to be closer to eye level to see them. This is why my green headlamp works really good and they are BRIGHT when reflecting back to me.

in the day light, i shined a flashlight on it, and was disappointed, i thought even though it was daytime, it would light up... but.... when it was dark, i was happy with it.it doesn't glow on its own in the dark, in fact (if i remember right), it ONLY glows when your headlamp or flashlight hits it (and not the whole rope, just the reflectors on it).would i buy it again, sure would.

The cord shows up well during the day and at night when hit with a light, just what I needed for my tent so I can see my guy lines. This cord is thinner than 550 paracord, so at first I wondered how well it would work with the adjusters I bought for paracord. No problem, the cord is a little stiffer than paracord and works very well with the adjusters, I will probably buy some more simply to have around.

The cordage works well on our 4-season tent, it survived a month of harsh weather in the Icelandic highlands. We had 30-40 mph almost constant winds. The only issue was the cords developed twist that I needed constantly to unwind. The twisting seems to have gotten better at the last days of our trip. I reflectivity in the dark works well helping us to trip over them less. I would recommend the cordage.

Although this is an issue with any clothes line.This cord is NOT intended for use for lifting objects or climbing. It is simply made for added visibility for cordage that could be a potential trip hazard.In my opinion, the cord is great for my use of replacing guy lines with higher visibility cord. The cord did not slip in a tautline hitch, and was easy to tie. The cord is nylon which allowed for the ends to be melted with a match or lighter to prevent fraying.I would recommend this cord to anyone, and will purchase more in the future for myself because tent manufactures still think including grey or black cord is easy to see at night.
